Canned, at Trogir (near Split), Croatia.
Golden with a thin white head. Tastes like a shanndy, can’t tell if its is because I can’t read Croatian.

UPDATED: JAN 18, 2009 New review:
0.5 l can that poured a golden body with small, shorter living head. Slightly lemony and grassy hops in aroma with notes of malt (honey, some flowers). OK. Flavor is empty, a bit of malt, a touch of metal near the finish, which is shorter, slightly sweetish and sourish. Watery body for sure. Boring and bad beer, but still, I was too subjective and a bit harsh in my first review.

Old review:
OK,this was supposed to be the worthest beer I have every drunk in my life. Few days ago I decided to give it another try...I thought it can’t be so bad...but it is. Only good it has is the average appearance, it looked like beer. But taste and aroma of nothing right with final taste in the mouth of give-me-something-other definitely does not make it good. I drunk the bottle to the bottom, still I was sorry to spill it but I don’t want to drink it anymore union. Can’t understand how anybody can like it... 2/3/2/1/4=1.2

Canned (thanks ozujsko). Golden colour, big foamy hite head., which turns mediumsized quite fast. Very acidic maizeish noe with some rubbery note. Flavour is acidic maize and some bready hints. No bitterness whatsoever. Mouthdrying and sticky.

Dark gold colour. The aroma is an old beer- earthy, caramel and mushroom. Of course, no BBD. This is a rather quick, watery specimen with light caramel and little more. A Slovenian beer without hops - shame.

Tried this one in Ptuj, Slovenia, while on holidays. Quite drinkable but nothing too substantial. Golden body with limited head.

OleR (4786) - Oslo, NORWAY - JUL 5, 2007
UPDATED: JUL 8, 2007 500 ml can. Quickly diminishing medeium-sized off-white head with big bubbles. Clear, pale golden body. Dry light malty aroma of with notes of metal, dusty and hayish hops. Lightly sweet taste with a low malt profile. Slight resiny and earthy hopbitterness in the flavor. Light to medium body. Dry finish with a decent bitterness. Not a favorite, but absolutely drinkable.

This beer has recieved some vey harsh ratings. Its not the greatest beer in the world, but for beer on a budget this is one of the heavywieghts. Very easy to sit back in the Julian Alps or at a Ljubiljana bar and sink Union until the sun comes up. Big on taste, light on the wallet.

Bottle: Lightly hazy yellow, no head nor lacing. Nose of sweet stale malt, very cheap and...slavic. The hops and alcohol form an incestual "union" that blends into the cheap malt notes. Forms a fairly untasty blend. Sweet flavor, long tail and a bland finish.

5/03/2007: Union Pivo pours a clear gold color with a frothy crown. A generous level of visible carbonation. This beer has an aroma of pale malts and a flavor of cardboard (oxidized?). The palate is dry and the finish is very dry. Medium-light body that is highly carbonated, yet somehow creamy. The mouthfeel is smooth with subtle, fine carbonation. Overall this is an intersting beer, but is it supposed to taste this way?! At any rate, it makes a great palate cleanser since it is to light and dry! 11.2 oz bottle (4.9% ABV) shared by Tmoney99 from Mainstrasse Village Pub in Covington, Kentucky. Thanks Tom!
