UPDATED: JUL 20, 2012 Bottle 0.5 L. Clear yellow body with a small, frothy, white head, fully diminishing with virtually no lacing. Faint malty and hoppy aroma. Flavour is mainly bitter with some light sweet malty note. Light body with a watery texture; soft carbonation; moderate metallic feeling in the finish.

66 cl bottle. Yellow beer with stable white head. Some grassyness on the nose. Aroma is grainy, slightly metallic with a moderate hops presence. Sweetish in mouth with a peppery feel. Alcohol is noticeable, carbonation is moderate. Simple lager, nothing bad, nothing nice.

500ml bottle. Thin, soft, citric. And that’s all... You can’t find malt or hop in this drink.

It is watery, bad hopped, a bit malty. Tastes like they just want to produce it cheap, but the crazy thing is, it is very popular in Slovenja. -/4/4/3/9/4.

Bottle in the hotel room in Bologne. Breakfast beer! Pours clear, yellow-gold with a weak, foamy white head. Pretty standard aroma, light cereal, metal, faint grass. Light sweet flavor with some grainy cereal, sugar, wet hay, grass. Light bitterness. Light bodied with fine, fizzy carbonation. Sweet, crisp finish, mild metal bite, faint caramel, light grassy bitterness and a bit more cereal. A very decent pale lager.

International Green Week, Berlin 2012: Hall 18 is a real mix of nations (Gambia, Ghana, South Africa, Spain, Peru, Malta, Thailand, Belgium and Holland to name but some) we find a tall standing table by a Belgian bar and leave the women folk to keep the space while we men bomb burst to find something to drink. I got the wife a South African sparkling wine and I noticed a small area dedicated to Slovenia and came back with a 0.3 litre glass of this beer. The other blokes just hit the Belgian selection (all of which I’d had before) for themselves and their ladies, food and drinks were available from all sorts of countries if they’d looked hard enough. My beer could have been a lager/pilsner/helles from almost anywhere: it had the regular golden, clean looks, snowy white head and no smell. The taste was thin, some hop bite, but very little of anything worthy of note, most likely the worst beer I had during the whole day (although the Russian lager I had was pretty poor too. So this is just a run of the mill, bog standard pilsner, a pity because it is the only thing I’ve ever had from Slovenia that I know of, and it hasn’t left a great impression on me.
