Very good session beer for friday night out. But not much more. Light, non-specific taste, nice head, short aftertaste.

Good session beer for friday night out. Best slovenian session beer which can be found everywhere.

Slovenia must be the most boring country to drink beer in Europe. Perhaps I was looking in the wrong pubs and supermarkets but all I could find was this one and Lasko.Ordinary macro lager and Laslo is still better.

Bottle from Bier-Advent Kalender, Switzerland
Blond color, clean. Boring industrial dry Lager; the usage of unmalted barley creates a feeling of corn; ordinary bitterness.

Rating #1347 03.12.2014. 500mL Can #3 from the BeerAdvent Calendar (Costco). My 2nd slovenian tick, albeit reluctantly. Clear, goldy-yellow colour with a bubbly white foam, medium retention. Smell is metallic hops and grains. Taste is grainy, lightly hopped quiite smooth, with light carbonation. Not bad, but nothing to distinguish it among the plethora of "pilsner-esque challengers from Eastern Europe.

33 cl. bottle @ home, gift from my parents. Clear pale yellow with a white head. Faint hoppy aroma. Taste is a bit thin but not that bad. Standard East-European lager

2 L pet bottle@home. Appearance: clear yellow golden with irregular shrinking white head. Aroma: vague hops and malt. Taste: malt, some bitter some sweet. Palate: watery, light body, soft carbonation. Overall: it was just a gift.

Very standard PL, with a bit less hops, a bit more malt (not enough to make it smooth a la Maes, but heading in that direction) and a bit more metallic harshness. Logo and name are emblematic of Slovenia though, even if there’s nothing emblematic about the taste!

Typical lager. Clear golden, malty aroma and taste with shade of grassy hops. Low bitterness if any.

500ml bottle in Fetiche, Ljubljana (€3.00):
This was a really basic effort from Union, I was quite disappointed really since this is one of the most widely available beers in the country but it didn’t do much for me sadly. There was some basic adjuncts & corn, a faint sweetness & not much else really; it’s not one that I’ll seek out again I don’t think.
