Bottle: Chestnut-amber coloured, small off-white creamy head, sweetish toasty - almost a bit smoky - nose with yeast and hops, moderate sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied and quite smooth; shorter sweetish caramelly-toasty finish, balanced by some bitterness. No reason to get excited, but quite nice…

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Maria (9572) - Thisted, DENMARK - SEP 2, 2012
The color is deep red amber, amazing. The head is small and dense. The aroma has notes of caramel, bread and fruit. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel, roasted malt, bread, light licorice and fruit. The alcohol does not shine through, and the finish is slightly dry/bitter. Very nice...

Bottled 500ml. -at Brauereigasthof Bürgerbräu, Bad Reichenhall, Bavaria, Germany.
Pale cooper coloured, small tan head, caramel nose with touch of alcohol. Roasted malty, dried fruits and caramel with notes of alcohol and touch of spice. Nice doppelbock but a bit too sweet for my taste.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 yespr (26115) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - APR 11, 2008
50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden brown with an orange hue and a dense tan head. Roasted malt and breadish aroma, light spice note in addition. Flavour starts sweet and soon gains a solid spice note providing a solid flavour and mouthfeel to the 7.3% abv. Malt heavy and light dried to overripe fruity finish. Very nice.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 JorisPPattyn (7312) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - JUL 23, 2006
Caramel-red beer; head gone in seconds. Caramel, bread, alcohol and generally quite sweet nose. Sweet taste, but moderately so; woody and wry in a good way, finishing with truckload of malt and chocolate cookies. Heavy malt-determined grist slickness and appreciable alcohol, near oily. Good Doppelbock! Thanks to Sebastian for this exceptional tasting.
