500ml bottle from Newport Food Festival ’13. Has quite tame wheat flavours compared to the German greats, with a lighter body and not as hazy in texture. But then I guess that’s what Untapped want, a nice easy going wheat with a pleasant fragrance that has you ordering another before you know it.

Pigs Ear. Clear gold beer, little white head. Weird! Sweet malts with German style nuttiness plus something herbal that reminds me of that stuff they stick in yer gob at the Dentist.

Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Light sweet finish with mild bitterness, further banana, mild yeast. A very good British wheat beer.

Gravity @ Pigs Ear 2012. The pour’s medium gold with a tiny white head. The nose is banana, honey, wheaty breakfast cereal. The taste is sweet shredded wheat, more light banana and white grape. Syrupy body, overly sweet and cloying. Still, decent stuff.
