Perfected Pale Ale
Designed to be a light Indian Pale Ale style. The light straw colour of this beer belies its full and citrus fruit driven flavours. Distinctly hoppy, with wonderful aromas from Styrian Goldings hops, the finish is perfectly balanced and satisfying. A huge hit with Untapped fans!

Poured from a 500ml bottle into a half pint glass (and top up frequently) Pours a clear golden amber colour, with a crisp white head. Smells very hoppy and fresh, flowery and summery (hehe) Taste is mostly hops, which remain strong all the way through however not to the point of cancelling out the rest of the taste, as it seems to be very well balanced. Overall a lovely hoppy beer, perhaps influenced by American offerings of the same beer style with the large hop presence.

Taste comprises light orange notes, straw, grains, grass. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, semi drying close. Mediocre at best.

Bottle. Pours cloudy golden-amber with a frothy white head. Aroma is citrus, apply, bread, and lemon. Flavor is a quite sharp lemony apple tartness, with some hay and yeast and malt in the background. Kind of a strange beer, more tart, even sour than expected, but tasty.

July 2016 - Bottle share at Craft Beer Co Islington as ’Untapped U.P.A.’. Many thanks to Chriso for this. Hazy orange, still, small foamy white head. Aroma is tangerine skin, musty, bready. Body is smooth with soft carbonation. Taste is buttery, apricot, quite thin malt, sweet into the finish. A bit wishy washy really, but drinkable enough.

Bottle shared in London - so much thanks to Chria for this great. Pours clear gold with a frothy, white head. The nose has some lime peel, pale bread. Light sweet flavour with rather tasty tangy citrus, more lemon, hay. Light bodied with average carbonation. Finishes with more novel, enjoyable citrusy tang, light bitter hay, rind. Pretty decent.

Bottled, 500ml from Favourite Beers, Cheltenham, Gloucs. Gold with white head. This proved to be a light. fragrant and refreshing beer. The Styrian Goldings really show up well here, simple, lemony with a leafy character then a hint of hop oil. Clean and quite tangy without overwhelming the palate. An enjoyable beer.
