The perfect pint for the long, hot summer we’re about to have....! A light, delicate ale with almost citrus flavours followed on by a long, hoppy, balanced finish. 4.5% vol. Very refreshing indeed. UPA is brewed with Pale Ale and a touch of Crystal Malts and is hopped with Celia and Cascade hops.

Poured from a 500ml bottle into a half pint glass (and top up frequently) Pours a clear golden amber colour, with a crisp white head. Smells very hoppy and fresh, flowery and summery (hehe) Taste is mostly hops, which remain strong all the way through however not to the point of cancelling out the rest of the taste, as it seems to be very well balanced. Overall a lovely hoppy beer, perhaps influenced by American offerings of the same beer style with the large hop presence.

Bottle at Favourite Beers, Cheltenham, Glos Oxon May 2011 consumed at home in garden July 31 2011 Pours golden with a white filmy head, soft in mouth with citrus flavours, little soapy hop and a little fuzzyness in mouth, I get a bit of salad bowl flavour, lettuce mostly, now and then. Thanks to gethinbeer for this one. Pale golden pour with a white head. Very cloudy/hazy pour. The nose is quit fruity. Lots of soft crackery malt. Orangey and zesty lemon pour. Brightly spicy with a touch of crackery flavour. Slightly zesty and chewy with a nice light fruitiness. Lightly grassy and spicy. A pretty nice pale ale.
