Feb 18, 2007 (draught at the Düsseldorf RB gathering) Slightly hazy, amber colour with a small, frothy off-white head. Sweet, slightly yeasty aroma, soft notes of toasted malt, dark berries and resiny, herbal hops. Sweet flavour, medium body with a well-carbonated mouthfeel. Soft malty, slightly yeasty and distinctively fruit-accented taste with traces of caramel; sweet malty, slightly bitter finish with a pleasant herbal hops presence.

Feb 15, 2007 Draught at the brewpub. Very distinct diacetyl aroma. Hazy brown colour, small head. The flavour is dominated by diacetyl, some malt, quite sweet. OK alcohol mouthfeel, but not much alcohol flavour.

Jan 10, 2007 On tap as an aperitiv at the Düsseldorf Gathering: Mahagony coloured, small off-white lacing foam; fruity (dark berries) and yeasty and "wooden" hoppy nose; rather sweet, light bitter flavour, creamy MF; fruity-sweet finish with a lingering bitterness in the aftertaste. A well rounded, a bit sweet Altbier-Bock.....

Lightly hazy, amber body. Lightly brown, creamy head. Nice looks. Aroma of caramel and spices. Moderately bitter, moderately sweet initial flavour. Intersting brew.
