22 oz bottle. Cloudy reddish amber with a small off white head. Big aroma of citrus, caramel, bread dough and honey. Flavor is rich bready and caramel malt with a medium hop bitterness and a light alcohol bite. Medium body with average to low carbonation and thick, smooth mouth feel. Nice beer, very balanced with lots of rich malt and hop bitterness.

This found its way to me via Eithcubes. Creamy off white head and a dark brown color. One of the more full bodied offerings from these guys so far. Smoky malt flavor with a bitter hop finish. Some chocolate and caramel in the flavors as well.

Bottled on Feb. 09. Medium amber/orange body, slightly hazy. Fizzy, off-white head, mostly lasting. Aromas of lightly toasted malts, biscuit, caramel, citrus orange and floral hops. The flavor is moderatley sweet and lightly bitter and finishes lightly to moderately sweet and moderately bitter. Fusel alcohol drives the taste which, at first, reminded me of orange-flavored cough medicine. Chewy malts in the finish. The aftertaste has remnants of peppery alcohol. Medium body, watery texture and lightly carbonated. A sipper. The alcohol seems dominant and is tamed only so much by the caramel malts and hops. Still, an interesting Irish red and I wouldn’t hesitate to drink again.

Let the bottle warm out of the fridge. Poured with a nice cream colored head that settled out out and good lacing. Color is a hazy medium amber. Aroma is malt, hops caramel. Body is good and so is carbonation. Finish is like flavor and has good length. Fairly hoppy for an Irish. Could be a session.

Bottle. Butterscotch malt and light hops aroma. Cloudy amber with a small tan head, suspended sediment. Boozy, buttery caramel malt, burnt toast, herbal hops flavor. Medium body and carbonation. The hops and burnt toast combination was a little too harsh for my taste.

Pours a cloudy dark amber, with a small off white head. Smells of some juicy citrus, some hops, a little caramel, and some bready yeast. The flavor is mostly malty as are most irish ales, with the hops providing a touch of balance in theaftermath. Very drinkable brew, although nothing exciting as I was expecting. Nothing I would go out of my way for, but would drink it again.

Pours a cloudy tea, with red-orange tinge...tan head Nose is sweet malt, bread, caramel. Flavour is caramel, hops, sugary. Very hoppy. Also gains a bourbon-like taste as it warms. Feb. ’12 bottle...labeled as 9.3%abv. You can tell it’s there, but it’s not harsh. More bitter in the middle, then mellows. Almost has a charcoal aged edge to it. This is like an Ale/Brandywine/Light IPA hybrid. It’s very nice.

12 oz. bottle - thanks to pepsican for the trade; pours dark orange-red with some floaties; strong aromas of sugar and sweet malts; almost barley wine-ish; drinks dry and creamy with an almost syrupy texture; very sweet and overall like a thin barley wine
