COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Creamy chocolate flavors combine with a lightly roasted finish and superb body to balance this traditional brown porter. A fragrant malt/hop aroma and herbaceous hop flavor complete this highly quaffable ale.

12 oz. bottle in trade with Fletche00. Pours very dark brown, with light ruby notes. Good coffee notes, some sour cherries, molasses, and nutmeg. The flavor is sweet up front, with some significant sour and metallic notes through the finish. Medium to heavy body, sticky, and pretty astringent. Overall, this is a mediocre porter, with weak aroma, and a relatively unpleasant flavor. Not bad, but not very good.

Dark brown color with a white head, its nose is nice, soft, and spiced, with slight notes of coffee and licorice. It has a weak mouthfeel, but a pleasant flavor of more coffee and licorice, especially in the finish. It’s pleasant, a good porter.

Aroma: Chocolate, caramel, very light smoke. Appearance: Not sure, drank from the bottle. Flavor: Matched the nose. Palate: Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, long finish. Overall: A good porter with enough complexity to keep things interesting. Can’t believe I hadn’t rated this already.

Draft to taster at Upland. Looks good; cola with foamy beige head. Smells of mild dark malt and chocolate. Tastes like it smells, only more robust, with some nuttinesa and a bit of roast. Solid on the palate. A decent porter.

Very dark rich beer. A slightly less delicious version of Guinness. Coffee flavored stout.

12oz bottle via trade. Poured a slightly thinner looking dark black body with a smaller to perhaps average foamy beige head. Aroma is very dusty with lots of dusty malts, dusty chocolate, vanilla candles. Flavor of sweeter chocolate pudding powder, grass, some dry plywood, bad vanilla. Medium to thinner body with soft to average carbonation and a watery finish.

Bottle. Pours dark brown with medium head and lots of lacing. Aroma of roasted malts and a hint of chocolate. Common Porter taste, not heavy but not too thin. Drinkable and slightly above average. ----Hophaze out
