dherbert53 (1), Wyoming, Ohio, USA does not count Mar 28, 2008 This is a very good beer that is very flavorful but not as heavy and bitter as Guinness or other dark beers tend to be, I would highly recommend it to others. No aftertaste that I noticed. Can’t really speak to aroma cause I can’t smell very well. Still trying to find out where to get it locally in Cincinnati. Would be great draft too. LOL. I am Dherbert53@aol.com. Thanks bjaynes80 (1), , Indiana, USA does not count Jun 24, 2008 I really like this beer. Being that this is a local brew, I am somewhat partioal. Poors dark with a light foam medium brown head. A good roasted flavor with a hint of spice. amee16 (62), Valparaiso, Indiana, USA Oct 13, 2007 Bottled: Jan 2006
pours a beautiful almost black with a reddish tint and a thick tan head that dissipates quickly to a light lacing that remains. aroma is brown sugar and a little chocolate... one of the best smelling brews I’ve had. Mouthfeel is creamy and chewy. tastes roasty and malty with a nice bitterness. jah noth (941), Rochester, New York, USA Dec 15, 2005 Fruity coffee aroma with bitter chocolate. Flat, deep red pour. Lots of bitter chocolate in the flavor, a little cappucino, balanced by some herbal hops. Lingering coffee syrup flavor. Not too bad. Thanks to TAR. BBB63 (3810), La Porte, Indiana, USA May 26, 2003 On tap- Dark opaque color with nice head and lace, medium-bodied. Coffee, chocolate, and floral aroma. Roasted malt flavor dominates the palate, dry finish. Similiar to the porters from northern England.
