Bottle, shared with HogTownHarry, Harrys bottle: Nice brown half finger head, dark brown body. Aroma: Chocolate and spice (nutmeg?) and some slight alcohol. Flavour: Like a decent porter put into a soda streamm far too much carbonation with a biscuit-cardboard-water finish, shame as it could have been very good.

Jun 30, 2008 A dark clear brown porter with a super thick moka head. A light chocolate with off notes of olive. In mouth, a rather simple porter with light coffee notes, short in mouth, signs of infection. Oktoberfest evening at Marc Gratton’s, taste on April 20 2007

does not count  Jun 24, 2008 I really like this beer. Being that this is a local brew, I am somewhat partioal. Poors dark with a light foam medium brown head. A good roasted flavor with a hint of spice.

Jun 11, 2008 12 oz bottle. Pours a clear dark brown body with a small fizzy brown head that faded quickly to a patchy partial covering. The nose is nice and dry with lots of chocolate malt and accents of roast, chalk, and yeast. The flavor’s not as dry as the aroma suggested. Pretty sweet up front with chocolate and cocoa powder, then fading to an ashy and burnt thin finish. Mouthfeel is a little on the thinner side with soft fizzy carbonation. I’m not thrilled with the chalky finish. Overall, this just wasn’t my kind of Porter, this needs more body and less chalkiness.

Jun 11, 2008 A decent porter, enjoyable on the palate but nothing incredible. Pours a deep black colour with a small head, nice retention and a roasted malt flavor. Overall its tastey, but i think it has potential to be even better. :)

May 17, 2008 I kind of dug this one. Came in from Eithcubes. Porters are supposed to be on the lighter side of things I feel like. Aroma is of roasted malt. At first the taste is crisp and clean but it gives way to a roasted malt and chocolate finish that lasts for a while. More complex palate than what I am used to for a porter.
