In the spring of 2006, I brewed 300 gallons of top-fermented beer using wild yeast to create a Belgian-style Lambic. We conditioned the beer in oak casks and then initiated a secondary fermentation in the casks using whole fruit from Huber’s Orchard in Starlight, Indiana. You should experience a tart, almost sour taste balanced by the aromatic and richly flavorful addition of whole blackberries - perfect to share with friends, and a platter of good cheese and fresh fruit. - Caleb Staton, Head Brewer

Sampled at bottle share - Smells like a mixed berry jam with some plum raison notes. Super sharp acidity, really nice and sour. Drinkability is on the low side for me but the four ounces that I had were perfect. Glad I got to try this.

750mL bottle, pours an opaque ruby red / pinkish with a small off-white / pink head. Aroma brings out pungent tart blackberries, some barnyard funk, and brett. Flavour brings out loads of blackberries, to a jammy extent, with a moderate acidity, and low vinegary quality. Very blackberry-ish and jammy, while also being acidic and funky. Not my favourite of the Upland lambics, but certainly well-made. Finishes on blackberry acidity notes. Great stuff.

Bottle with thanks to Clownisseur! Count me a lover of this beer. Pours cloudy blood orange, small white head with decent lacing. Aroma is barnyard funk, fruity, blackberry, lemon. Flavor is quite sour, lemon, fruity, dry as hell, lightly funky. Medium body, light carbonation. Yummmmm.

Sampled from a 750ml bottle at a tasting. Pours hazy, dark ruby/amber with a lacy, off-white head. Aroma of blackberries, sour/tart notes, and pale/ caramel malts. Flavor the same with a great blend of blackberries and sourness. Average texture. A really good beer.

Bottle from bytemesis. Color is hazy, reddish, slight brown, like a V8 splash. Sour blackberry nose, dirty, sweaty, funky. Extremely tart and dry. Immediately dries your mouth, fruit is evident though. Good but extreme on the tartness and funk.

Color is a opaque reddish brown. Nose of wet wood. Brown malt and tart blackberry. Slight spice and funk. Very nice. Tastes tart and lovely. More blackberry and some dark red fruits. Long finish. Clean but tangy. Refreshing. Very nice. Excellent lambic. Upland doesn’t disappoint.

Bottle, thanks to M. Pours an attractive murky pink-red. Aroma of feet, funk, berry, tart, vinegar. Taste: whole face-puckering tart. Damned tart; sour, fruit-sweetness comes in later once my face as unfurled. Medium body, slick, average carbonation. Overall - sweet-tart goodness, extreme vinegary sourness that’s almost overboard. Nice.
