3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle cheers to Ken (I think). Pours hazy mohagony/marone with a lacey type off white head. Nose is full of ripe raspberries, blueberry, sugar, plummy tart, icing, barnyard and vanilla. Taste is a little sugary and overloaded with rich berries. Blueberries are mild and more focus on sweet and tarty red berries. Sherbert and lemon zest towards the finish. A touch too sugary for my liking but not too bad. Solid stuff

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
5th December 2013
Bottle tasting at Craft Clerkenwell. Hazy red beer with a distinct mauve tint. Little pink head. Dry palate with mild fine carbonation. Mild sour fruits, little blueberry with lesser raspberry and generic red fruits. Sour factor is mild to medium. Finishes dry. Nice flavour but pretty dry.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
2010 Vintage. Pours a ripe purple blue color with a finger of pinkish foam. The nose is a bit funky and swampy right of the bat but then gasses off and opens up into a tart tannic blueberry fruit, pine needles some vanilla and oak must. The palate follows the nose with a beautiful balance between tart fruit and funky basement notes, blueberry, plum, wet wood... really nice minerality on the finish with some lingering blueberry seltzer flavor.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle shared by tom10101, many thanks!! Pours a nice burgundy with a white ring that leaves no lacing. Aroma is lambic-like with some nice red fruits over it. Taste is really fruity, fresh, tart. You can taste the raw blueberries in there. Acid but not too much. Body was on the lighter side, carbonation was fizzy. A really nice drink, a festive one for sure!

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours reddish with minimal off-white head. Nouveau Beaujolais-like. Aroma is of extreme blueberries, funk, lambic, spices. Taste is of blueberries, sugar, berries, acidity (under control), tartness. Palate: Light body. Overall: Awesome blueberries (best I’ve had in a beer, we are talking about something near Northblue. Anyways, not the big fat pale ones: the medium, very tasty stuff). I was told the bottle I had was 3 years old, but not sure I can trust that. Blueberries tasted so fresh (compared to Blaeber for example).

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle (750 ml). Slightly hazy Beaujolais color with a small off-white head and little lacing. Aroma is of blueberries (intense) along with some tartness/acidic notes and sweetness notes. Taste is moderately sweet (not cloying) with a ton of blueberries again, some malt, light acidic and barnyard presence and some spices. Medium body. Moderate carbonation. Slightly dry and somewhat acidic mouthfeel. Another superb sour from Upland! I don’t know how they can fit all these fruits in a beer, but this is awesome!

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
750mL bottle, pours a hazy dark purple-ish amber with a small beige head. Aroma brings out loads of blueberries and fairly prominent barnyard funkiness. Flavour brings out quite a bit of barnyard funkiness, with loads of lightly tart blueberries. Not overly sour / tart, with a prominent barnyard quality. I’d say this could pass for an authentic Belgian fruit lambic. Certainly one of (if not the) best American lambic. Excellent.

bottle shared by tom10101, many thanks bro! pours hazy purplish with a nice off-white head, good retention and lacing. tart berry aroma, juicy and slightly sweet blueberries - hint of sweetness, some acetic but also nice citric/lactic profile, lambic base is hypnotizing as usual with vanilla bourbon notes. bright to average carbonation, light body, lightly astringent and phenolic finish. very nice fruit lambic again by upland!

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Shared with the gang at SARA. A - pours a murky thick purple/blue. Low ring of light pink head. S - Aromas of blueberries, raspberries, vanilla frosting, nice funk and light vinegar. M - medium body with little carb. Rich full palate. Sweet ending with soft tartness throughout. T - A desert beer. so much berry for a 2010 vintage. Like drinking a blueberry frosted cake. Vanilla, blueberries (both fresh and canned) raspberries, light funk and pie crust. Some tartness rolls off the tongue. O - really really good beer. represented of a lambic, no. but very good none the less. 4.2
