In the spring of 2006, I brewed 300 gallons of top-fermented beer using wild yeast to create a Belgian-style Lambic. We conditioned the beer in oak casks and then initiated a secondary fermentation in the casks using whole fruit from Huber's Orchard in Starlight, Indiana. You should experience a tart, almost sour taste balanced by the aromatic and richly flavorful addition of whole blueberries - perfect to share with friends, and a platter of good cheese and fresh fruit. - Caleb Staton, Head Brewer

Bottle share at DLD. Pours a murky blue purple color without a head. Aroma is a sour blueberry. Taste is super sour with a bit of a blueberry flavor in the end. A bit too sour to be good.

A fair snort. Really fucking tart. To the point where I could merely sip it. Just intense and insane. Yeah, nice blueberry flavor, and a cool experience, but too much!

750 ml corked and caged bottle a month or two old. Pours a clear purple with some pinkish head around the perimeter of the glass. This is the softest of the lambics we opened as far as acidity goes. The aroma had more fruit character than sour character, so that was a nice change. The taste is soft fruit with a tingle of sourness kicking in mid to late swallow. Medium body with high carbonation. I wish the blueberry could have come through more.

Cloudy, deep blue/purple body. Looks like crushed blueberries. Appearance reminds me of Blabaer.

Funky, soured yeast and malts atop the blueberry fruit base. And damn it's sour. Extremely sour for a fresh fruited lambic. Who needs enamel anyway?

Bottle at home with friends, courtesy of Dave. Thanks man!! Pour is birght magenta with little-to-no head. Raspberry jammy, blueberry, strawberry pit, somewhat funky, acidic, lactic, and vanilla in the aroma. Taste is bright berries, tangy fruit, oranges, blueberries, lactic, light oak, and tannins with a big sour finish. Light body with high carbonation. Really nice sour.

At Stephens House with Stephen, Aaron, and Dave. Pours ruby red with very very small head. Aroma is fantastic raspberry sour tang, jammy, gummy fruits. Taste is fizzy tangy, orange juice, strawberry, some blueberry notes on the back end, finish is a little fast. A very nice beer, love it, not quite sour enough for me. And, blueberry doesn’t work that well in beers most of the time, it is a little watery.

750ml bottle. Thanks to Travlr! March 2014 DC Tasting. Poured a very purple, blue color, small off-white head. Aroma was heavy notes of blueberry. Lots of tart notes. Sour, lots of sour. Pucker. Acetic. I hadn’t had something this tart in a long time.

Pours garnet....thin pink/purple head. Tart, vinegary berry aroma. Puckeringly tart berry, woody/sour. Not really a blueberry specific flavour....more of a sour raspberry. Still, very well done.
