2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle shared with some friends. Even before I popped the cork I could see the bubbles popping out which lead me to believe that I had a gusher on my hands. However that wasnít the case, which was actually the only good thing about this bottle. The aroma was there but the flavor was dead and flat. I was sadly disappointed in this one.

4.3 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle at javitís Birthday Tasting. Pours purple; 1-finger pale pink head, lacing is spotty to poor. Nose is just stunning: big tart blueberries, fresh herbs, lovely acid notes, nice barnyardy funk. Flavours just bursting with sweaty berries, fresh hay, herbs, mineral finish. Just a fantastic brew. Liked this better than either the Ithaca or the Cantillon versions. And yes, I know thatís heresy!

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle, thanks Armin! Pour is a hazy light purple red, with a light fizzy head that fades very quickly to no lacing. Aroma is tart blueberries (easy to tell exactly what fruit on the aroma at least), a fair bit of basement funk. Taste is lactic and malic acid, a fair bit of jammy berries, berry seeds, some oak, fairly dry finish. Fair bit of funk that comes out with each sip. Some plasticy phenols on the taste at first, but as the beer breaths they vanish. Really quite nice.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Third beer from Upland, also fun to open. Nice red-purple pour, with fading head. Aroma: Slight funkiness, "sous-bois" and tart aromas but it is mostly blueberries. Taste: Very fruity, even more than the nose suggests, light fruit sourness but not nearly as tart as a fruit lambic. More on the sweet side. Palate: Medium body with good carbonation but not very dry. Overall: A very good beer fruit beer, but not a lambic.
The peach version and Dantalion were certainly more sour.

750ml bottle, batch 42-09 (9/27/10). Pours a lovely raspberry red/purple, with small white head, little carbonation. Aroma is wonderful blueberry, with some funk and wood. Taste is sweet and tart berries. Quite refreshing. Finish is sweet and tart then becoming bitter. Very fine ale.

This is really great! Thanks to all who have made this beer available. This is the second one I have had. Both times it was memorable.
Neat to look at, cloudy rose like purple. Sweet and sour berries with some funk. Very tasty mild blueberry tartness. Creamy smoothness. What impresses me the most is how well balanced all these flavors and aromas blend together. Mmmmm

Nice purplish pour with a pinkish/white head. Aroma is fruity, berries, funk. Flavor is lightly sour, but so well balanced with fruit and berries. This is enjoyable, really enjoyable!

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tasted this up against Batch 7 Cantillon Blabaer at Billís along with two homebrewed Blueberry lambics. Unfortunately, it had no real character compared to the Cantillon or the homebrews. Poured a plum reddish with little head. Nose is slightly tart and acidic, with lemon aromas and fruit. The flavor is watery and minimal on the blueberries and on the lambic side. A bit unbalanced and thin. Okay, just somewhat plain..

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Nice lambic aroma. Fruity and the blueberry aromas mix with the sour lambic aromas beautifully Nice red color with pinkish head. Incredible beer. Iíll admit, Iíve had a bunch of beer tonight, but this beer is the best so far. If is wonderful. Sweet!
