In the spring of 2006, I brewed 300 gallons of top-fermented beer using wild yeast to create a Belgian-style Lambic. We conditioned the beer in oak casks and then initiated a secondary fermentation in the casks using whole fruit from Huber's Orchard in Starlight, Indiana. You should experience a tart, almost sour taste balanced by the aromatic and richly flavorful addition of whole blueberries - perfect to share with friends, and a platter of good cheese and fresh fruit. - Caleb Staton, Head Brewer

This was a horrible beer. I really can not believe that the brewer had the nuts to sell this piece of shit. What are you thinking? Seriously? How can anyone one that has even a bit of integrity sell this beer?

750 ml bottle via trade. Bottled 11-13-14, batch 0-14. Pours a clear ruby-rose color with a small, fizzy rose-tinted white head that settles into a lasting ring. I had prepared my friends for the most sour one theyd probably taste all weekend, and it certainly was that, albeit not as aggressive as Id anticipated. Blueberry, lemon, oak, grape skins, some pie sweetness, red wine vinegar, and flower petals. Light-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a sour, acetic, floral mouthfeel that gets more sour as it crosses the palate. When it first hits its fairly mellow, but it hits you by the end. Still - not the most sour Upland fruit lambic. At least not this batch.

Really nice blueberry aroma, great to style. Palate a little thick but flavor of blueberry and tartness were very good. Finishes with obvious blueberry taste.

Thanks Jason, pours a deep violet color with a light pink head. The smell is tart fruit, dark berries, lactic acid. The taste is blueberry, tart lactic notes ending dry and crisp with mild wood. Light in body with active carbonation.

Many thanks to Rian! Nice fruity sourness in the beginning. The beer starts sour-fruity. Not too complex. Nice fresh-sourish with fruity hints. Not too intense, abut boring with mouldy hints. Sourish and easy to drink aftertaste with blueberry hints. Ok but not overwhelming.

From old tasting notes. 750 ml bottle. This one pours a beautiful deep red color with a purple hue and topped by a small, thin film of off white foam at the head that quickly fades into the body below. A sticky wash is left behind after each sip. The aroma is full of soft lactic funk showing notes of sweet and tart blueberries along with hints of oak laden vanilla. The flavor shows more tart blueberry, subtle fruit sweetness, earthy funk, and lactic and citrus acidity. There is a nice tartness throughout the brew. Medium bodied and dry in nature to go with the lively carbonation that leads a tart, refreshing finish. This is a fine example of a sour fruit beer. Good stuff.

June 19, 2015 - bottle shared by Brian. It is dark, but looked like a pinkish pour. Nicely balanced with the fruit, sour and wood.

Bottle. Killer beer. Sour, tart. Funky. Prickly on the tongue. Blueberry fruitiness. Pinkish pour (but its dark here). Awesome beer - love it.

Bottle. Pours purple with light haze, small light purple head. No retention. Aroma of funk, blueberry, blackberry, oak, lemon, lactic notes. Taste is tart, moderately lactic, lemon, berry, oak. Palate is dry, crisp, slick, tart finish. Refreshing and milder than some other Upland lambics.
