Thanks to Josh for sharing! Bottle pours light dark brown sugar color with off white head. Aroma is brown sugar, bourbon, caramel, and some wood. Medium mouthfeel. Flavor is more brown sugar, caramel, subtle booze tones, and finishes with a hot twang. Good stuff.

aroma and flavors, just a lot of barrel goodness, notes of vanilla along with roasted malts, bready mouthfeel. The way this is aged just let the whole barrel come alive in a phenomenal way.
This is tasty stuff!

Shared bottle to oversized snifter. Looks good; a deep BW with great carbonation for its age. Smells good too; notes of both the bourbon and the base beer. Tastes great; nothing too intense at any moment, but a wonderful marriage of good bourbon barrels and great barleywine that only time can produce. Mouthfeel is good too. Overall, a great beer that I hope to cross paths with again.

Bottle courtesy of Sprinkle. Clear reddish color. Bubbly head. Aroma is big whisky and heavy alcohol notes. Dark peet moss and wood also come through. Tastes like a lovely vanilla bean shot. Reminds me of grandma’s peanut butter cookies. Very tasty. Finishes decently and of a well made shot.

Bottle. Caramel malt and bourbon aroma. Chestnut color with minimal head. Strong bourbon flavor upfront with surprisingly subdued sweet caramel malt flavor. Pretty strong ’hint’ of bourbon. Nicely balanced - not too sweet, not too much alcohol.

Big thanks to jdubFL for sharing this beauty. Pours clear copper with half inch tall tan head. The aroma is spicy with a touch of tartness, mild sweet malts and caramel. The taste is sweet with smooth bourbon, some sweet malts, vanilla, spicy hops and then somewhat growing booziness that never gets out of hand. Smooth stuff that’s sweet yet has a nice hop and barrel component too.

Bottle shared with shrubber85. Sweet malt, smoky/oaky bourbon, and vanilla aroma. Chestnut with a small off-white head. Sweet malt, sharp oaky bourbon flavor smoothed with vanilla. Despite the boozy bourbon flavor the alcohol was well hidden. Full body.

Bottle thanks to Deyholla (derek) and shared with Hophead22. Dark copper/amber color with tiny head. Aroma was faint coconut, hops, caramel, and toast. Taste was similar with faint bourbon that was not over the top and some nuttiness. Low to medium pallet. Very good stuff.

Big caramel and bourbon on the nose. Pours hazy amber orange. Frothy foam rings. Big caramel, vanilla flavors. Worked well w the barrel. Nice smooth creamy.
