COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This crisp golden ale is built on the foundation of delicate light malts. This allows us to showcase some of the most interesting and effervescent American hops in a way we have never before done. We saved over 75% of the hops used in this recipe to add after the batch was boiled, allowing the distinct fragrance of grapefruit, apricot and pine to be preserved as much as possible in the finished beer. With a crisp, but subtle bitterness, a refreshingly light malt character, and a 4.5 ABV, this is the perfect warm weather beverage for those who think flavor is just as important as refreshment.

Pour out of 12 oz bottle, very hazy orange pour with white lacing head, aroma brought notes of grass, biscuit, bread, nice orange peel, touch of grapefruit, almost pineapple in there as well, nice. Taste is a mix of grapefruit, orange, pine, some grassy notes into some biscuit, clean malty notes finishing slightly bitter, dry. Well made.

Draft - Sweet bright grapefruit and sweet malts. Pale gold with a rich white head. Light sweet grapefruit and a mellow bitterness. Balanced and a nice light IPA.

Draft at Ei8ht Ball, served in a sampler. Pours a clear pale golden color with a small white head that leaves streaks of lace in the glass. Nice, clean aroma - grass, herbs, lemon, pale malts, straw, florals. The flavor matches the aroma, but doesnít quite possess the same pop. Spice on the finish. Light-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a crisp, clean, dry mouthfeel. Good session IPA.

The smell is hoppy but I get more of a grainy sweet malt aroma. The taste follows the nose and I have to say that this session IPA has more malt character than most Iíve tried. Either thatís the way it was intended or the can I have is older than fresh. On the heavy side of light bodied, nice carbonation, very good mouthfeel. Big thanks to Trent for sending this my way!

On draft. Pours a clear, orange/yellow with near no head. Bad pour. Aroma herbal has hints of pine, resin, and citrus. Taste has mild herbal/grassy notes of pine, and resin. Medium gift and carbonation. Clean in the mouth. Overall an ok session drink. Slightly grassy/herbal with pine and resin.

On tap, pale golden pour with a small white head. Aroma is watery hops and mild malts. Flavor is club soda with a touch of hops. Way too thin.

12 oz bottle from the Binnys South Loop Singles Rack (Chicago, IL). Oddly, itís taken me some time to get this and rate it. Pours a nice glowing golden hue, a firmer haziness with gentle dulled orange glow. Very bubbly body with mellow cakey white head. A nice layer sits atop, dies to a film and laces ok. Aromas throw gentle grapefruit rind and juice, touches of lemon and earthy green leafy bitter hops. Touches of bread, gentle fruit and grainy malts. A bit floral, faint waft of lemon cookies. Initial is lighter end of the fold, some nice pithy citrus and rind elements give some bitterness. Touches of citrus juice, a bit of bread. Mellow grainy and bready malts into the middle show some base. Clean, lighter. The backend brings back a firmer floral bitterness, touches of earth and bitter citrus rind. Cleaner, but still fairly hoppy and poignant even with some age on it. A bit bready, gentle spice and fizziness. Finish is dry, a touch powdery and floral. Solid Session IPA. Lacks pop and character but is clean and well made.

Draft to pint at Half Moon. Looks solid; a little undercarbonated though. A transparent light gold with bubbly white lacing. Smells solid; nicely hopped with a very light malt backbone. Tastes like it smells, but less robust. Or it could be the undercarbonation making it seem a bit stale. A decent SIPA, but could be much better with some additional carbonation.

Looks alright; light for an APA though. A transparent light gold with ample fluffy white head. Smells solid; bitter hops with a semi-sweet backbone. Tastes like it smells with. An average mouthfeel. Not bad.
