This crisp golden ale is built on the foundation of delicate light malts. This allows us to showcase some of the most interesting and effervescent American hops in a way we have never before done. We saved over 75% of the hops used in this recipe to add after the batch was boiled, allowing the distinct fragrance of grapefruit, apricot and pine to be preserved as much as possible in the finished beer. With a crisp, but subtle bitterness, a refreshingly light malt character, and a 4.5 ABV, this is the perfect warm weather beverage for those who think flavor is just as important as refreshment.

Draft. Poured a cloudy copper color with an average frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate sour citrus hop and soft malt aroma. Medium body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. I would recommend this to a friend as a session beer.

355ml bottle. For once I could appreciate an upland ipa. This one works as a sessioner.

Sample at Pint House during a tap takeover. Cloudy dark golden color with a medium foamy white head that recedes quickly to an outer ring. Short strings of lacing. Aroma of floral hops and malt. Light-bodied with flavors of grassy hops, toasted malt and citrus. The finish is mildly bitter with a hoppy aftertaste. Decent overall.

Basic hoppy beer. Ok to drink and some hops. But this is not an IPA. Recent trip to Madison. Lacy.

12oz bottle. Bottled May 2013. Clear golden color. Good one-finger thick kind of pillowy white head. Splotchy lace. Lighter body. Smooth, soft lighter carbonation. Some grassy, lightly lemon-citrusy hops. Light wheaty, bready malt. Light bitter taste, light sweet. Satisfying session ale.

On tap at Brickside. Pours a hazy yellow gold with a white head that lasts throughout the beer. Aroma has a light grass note with a bit of bread and a grain backbone. Flavor has lots of bread and grain with a grass backbone.

Pour out of 12 oz bottle, very hazy orange pour with white lacing head, aroma brought notes of grass, biscuit, bread, nice orange peel, touch of grapefruit, almost pineapple in there as well, nice. Taste is a mix of grapefruit, orange, pine, some grassy notes into some biscuit, clean malty notes finishing slightly bitter, dry. Well made.
