3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
750mL bottle. Pours a dark reddish brown body over a massive tan head that showed no sign of depletion. Sticky clumps of lacing on the glass. Sour vinegar nose. The flavor is unexpected: more sour yeast, subtle spices like cinnamon & nutmeg, sour apples, and finished with an indescribable herbal note. Soft carbonation and medium body. Interesting brew to say the least.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
750 ml bottle to snifter (2014 vintage; shared with the Mrs.). Looks good; a slightly translucent dark brown cola with foamy light beige head. Smells mildly tart and oaky ith a semi-sweet full Flanders brown backbone. Tastes like it smells with a pleasantly fuller-bodied mouthfeel for the style. A bit of the self-described candied sugar as well. Good beer.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
750 ml bottle, not sure what the exact age of it is but I picked it up as part of Uplandís recent sour release a couple weekends ago. Served in a Prairie Teku, the beer pours very dark brown with some reddish tints. Thereís about an inch tan head that stayed around a long time, and a good amount of lacing. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like tart cherries, oak, red grapes, sweet spices and some vinegar. It tastes like tart dark fruit, vinegar, oak, blackberries, earthy spices, and a bit of brown sugar. Itís a tasty, tart and fruity brew. Mouthfeel/body is medium, itís smooth and has a good amount of soft carbonation. I thought this was good, glad I got to try this one!
