Bomber. Pours a deep amber orange, unfiltered. Ample frothy white biscuity head. Aroma is a combo of citrus, pine and grassy notes. Taste is grapefruit and other ripe citrus notes. Bitter finish. A pleasant Imperial IPA that hides the ABV well.

Note: my bottle is of indeterminate age. Thanks to Brigadier for sending this one to me. Presents itself well, great color, bountiful foam. Aroma is subdued, very mild and indistinct west-coast American hops notes. Flavor is interesting - like the first few notes of a watermelon jolly rancher, minus the finish and the sweetness. It’s a fleeting chemical tropical fruit flavor followed by immediate piney bitterness. Mild malt profile into a relatively simple single-note hoppy finish with a little bit of a vegetal edge to it. Like the aftertaste of steamed asparagus. Not great, unfortunately.

Not too bad. Good aroma and appearance. Bitterness was pretty good but I’ve had better. Decent for the price paid at a bar, which was $2.75 per pint.

Sampled at DLD 2013. It poured an orange color with a white head. The aroma was of resiny pine and grapefruit with a lightly toasted caramel background. The taste was of light caramel sweetness with lots of juicy piny hop flavor and good bitter balance before a drier, citrusy bittersweet finish. Very nice.

On draft at Brothers in South Bend IN. Pours a hazy amber with a frothy white head. Feint hop aroma. Flavor much more intriguing with grapefruit and some sweet pineapple. Bitter finish.

My phone died after I had calculated the total score. Luckily, the ratebeer app saved it. The aroma was a little off on this one. Maybe just too much malt or just too generic? Taste is good and bitter, somewhat making up for the aroma. Palate was off.

From a bottle at Dark Lord Day in Munster, IN.\ Hazy gold color. White head. Nose of grapefruit. Medium plus body. Flavor is bitter and alcoholic. Somewhat lacks flavor.

Amber pour with a small white head. Overall, this beer wasn’t as complex as I would have liked. No presence of the floral or citrus hop notes I like so much. It’s well-balanced from a malt/hop standpoint but not interesting enough. Plenty of room for improvement here.

Bottle. The pour is pretty clear and bright orange. The aroma has faint hops and some sweetness. The taste is fairly mild for a iipa. Solid, not too bitter and a lot of flavor. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pour from 22oz bottle. Clear orange amber brew with small head. Aroma of caramel, floral hops, a little spice and resin. Taste is sweet caramel at the start with moderate hops at the finish. Very nice.
