COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Upland Dragonfly IPA is a malty and hoppy brew. Note the clean malty fullness on the front of the palate with fruity citrus overtones, attributable to our special hops. Dry hopping creates a floral aroma, and our use of bittering hops lends a strong bitter taste in the back of the tongue and throat.

Bottle - Lightly hazy amber pour with a foamy off-white head. Nose is metallic with lightly floral and fruity hops. Dry pale malt. Taste is sweet and bready malt, a bit of citrus rind, some honey, and a bitter citrus finish. Lots of sweetness. Pretty warming. Slick and fairly thick with medium-carbonation. Too sweet for me.

12 oz. bottle poured to a fest goblet displaying a hazed, deep, orangey amber color, with good persistence to both the creamy, off white head, and the wavy lacing. The aroma offered a little dankness at first, then decent maltiness, with a touch of sweetness, a bit of resinous pine, citrus, and some tropical scent. The taste presented some assertive, rindy, earthy, and lingering hop bitterness, a smooth, tempering malt content that created some light creaminess for the mouthfeel, and a medium body, with complementary carbonation. Sweetness remained on the tongue, the bitterness didn’t waver, and some dryness made an appearance at the finale. Maybe a bit too malty sweet throughout, imo. I doubt that it was age,(according to the label) but a solid IPA nonetheless.

Served in a bottle so I really can’t tell about appearance or aroma. Perhaps if I were to try a fresh pint in btown I could change it

Bottle shared at Proof. Gold. Big citrus aroma. Tight dry bitter. Little mineral but not bad way. On the bitter side but even. 7.2

Clear pale yellow with a touch of amber. Little head with almost no lacing. Aroma is faintly hoppy, think earthy-piney and a faint caramel sweetness. Taste is pretty much the exact same. Medium body with high carbonation. Decent IPA but I wouldn’t track this one down

Sampled at the Brewpub. It poured a cloudy amber color with an off-white head. The aroma was of caramel malt and piney hops. The taste was of malt, hops and some citrus. Decent.

Draft at the tasting room. Pours a translucent copper with a white head of foam. Aroma is fruity and floral. Taste is mildly bitter and finishes a little sweet. Not too bad.

Pours a orange to amber color with a white head. Nice lacing. The aroma is faint pine with some citrus. The taste is very malty with bitter hops and a long dry finish. Not a bad beer.
