Bottle during RBWG 2013.... juiceisloose, maybe? Deep red pour with a small khaki head. Tart, sour cherry aroma with leather, wood, acidity, and a touch of vinegar. Tart, sour cherry flavor with funkiness, barnyard, and deep earthiness. Nice!

This stuff smells amazing: funky, fruity, sour, spicy. Tastewise, it’s good and sour but a hair too sweet for my taste. Texture is a touch sticky but still not out of line. Really nice and complex thoug. If this was just a hair more dry and it would be perfect.

Remniscent of a Jacobins to me. A very well-rounded flanders red that has am ample sourness, lots of sweetness, and a balanced fruitiness.

Bottle shared poured a copperish light red color with aromas of wet wood, light tart fruit and some musk. Flavors are the same mostly light tart fruit and wet wood. Nice beer overall.

Had written down as Gilgamesh Epic .. . Pours a deep amber ruby .. . Good amount of foam .. . Has a nice sourness to it .. . Leather and sugar with dirt in it .. . Pretty good .. . . Eww! That’s what we look like inside? Disgusting! Ugh! That lady swallowed a baby!

Bottle share. Pour is reddish brown with a small tan head. Aroma is sweet and sour - light tart fruits, oak wood, vanilla extract. Flavor is very mellow for a sour ale with notes of oak-aged bourbon, fruity esters, and dark fruit. Nice balance, medium bodied even considering the ABV.

Draft sample. Poured a hazy reddish copper color with an average to large frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy tart fruit and wood aroma. Medium body with a sticky texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy tart & sour flavor with a medium to heavy tart & sour finish of moderate to long duration. This is a solid beer for style.

Moderately funky, good but not great flanders ale. A little sweet for my taste, but still a good sour. Funky nose. It’s slightly tart, a little too sweet, but still tart, dry finish.

Location/Date:Bottle on January 26th, 2013 during day 2 of Nerd Beer Epic Weekend.
Appearance: Pours a dark maroon.
Aroma: Aroma of tart fruit with a hint of sour.
Taste: Chery, faint tart, not really any bourbon.
Palate:Medium light body
Summary: A sour I actually enjoyed as it was really only a hint of tart. Also, I had no clue this was 10.5% alcohol. I can only drink a little of this but it’s solid.

Aroma: The nose is tart and sour fruit, yeasty too, it is both sweet and funky, bourbon is minimal
Appearance: It pours an unclear reddish-brown without much head or lace
Flavor: Flavor-wise, it has plenty of berry sweetness and tartness to it, and leathery notes
Palate: This one has a good feel, soft carbonation, some acidity, and absolutely no heat
Overall Impression:
This is a nice sour. It has a good blend of sweetness and tartness, and works quite well. The alcohol is crazy well hidden too. I would have guessed it at about 7-8%. Good stuff.
