COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Upland’s Harvest Ale is an American Pale Ale by design, but an even more vibrant rendition by loading up our hopback with freshly harvested Citra hops. Expect huge wafts of tropical fruit notes, balanced by a moderate bitterness and light toasted malt character. A showcase for one of our four favorite ingredients and a delight for all the hopheads out there.

12oz bottle 5/9/16 (Jewel-Osco Clearance Rack)-42° in Shaker-Pours cloudy amber with a small head. Aroma of hops and malt. Taste of the same with more hops. This light to medium bodied brew is well balanced and darn right tasty.

A hazy golden-yellow pour with a thin white head. Aroma of orange, sugar, and hops. The flavor is sweet, syrup. The hops are there but just a big below balance. Sweet finish. For me, this beer is a bit too sweet for the relatively low alcohol and hops.

Pours a clear deep golden color with an off-white head. The smell is toasted malt and citrus. The taste is toasted malt, mild caramel, citrus sending fruity and crisp. Light+ with average carbonation.

Tasted on tap at ElijahP’s in Alton, Il in a snifter glass. It poured a mostly-clear orange amber colour with nice white foam, lasting with lace. Extremely fresh hop aromas and flavours, non-deScript grainbill underneath but malty enough to support this hops-forward brew. Grapefruit, sweet-citrus, lemongrass, dank resin, a little musky in a good way, hint of tropical fruit, Fruit Loops cereal, Juicy Fruit chewing gum. Tangy. Light body, fuller than expected mouthfeel, long-lasting hoppy aftertastes. Great stuff.

Had it in tap. Pours a clear amber hue with a sturdy white head. It has a smooth hoppy caramel flavor, could use more bitter, like my woman.

Tap at the brewpub...light orange pour with a creamy head. Very fragrant fresh hop nose leads to a very refreshing and easy drinking liquid with a smooth mouthfeel. The hops don’t get any fresher and tastier than this. Finishes clean, crisp, and dry. Awesome.

Very nice IPA. Light orange, clear, with a thin white head. Potent and very resinous. Hints of grapefruit at the end.

Aroma is slightly perfumed fruit, biscuit malts a relatively small hint of hop resin. The flavor is tropical fruit, citrus, biscuit malts, spices and a lightly bitter finish.

[Tap] Amber colored pour with an average sized head. Nose is of citrus and pine. Flavors of orange zest, biscuit malts, dry herbal hops, caramel and a mild astringency. I was expecting more of a fresh hop bite to it. Pretty ordinary. Tasting notes from 11/2014.
