Uplandís Harvest Ale is an American Pale Ale by design, but an even more vibrant rendition by loading up our hopback with freshly harvested Citra hops. Expect huge wafts of tropical fruit notes, balanced by a moderate bitterness and light toasted malt character. A showcase for one of our four favorite ingredients and a delight for all the hopheads out there.

12oz bottle shared poured medium orange color with white head. Nice hop aroma, mild to medium malt backbone. Flavor is really good. You can really tell whole hops from pellets at least I can. A little more earthy in the flavor. Overall pretty darn good.

Sampled at the Brewpub. It poured a clear copper color with an off-white head. The aroma was of moderate citrus hop and toasted malts. It had a medium body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. The taste was medium bittersweet with a finish of moderate duration. Nice.

Iím really surprised by the low overall rating of this beer. It is one of the better offering from Upland. The use of Citra hops puts this beer over the top with a great citrusy flavor. Medium bodied, with a clean slightly bitter finish.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a nice orange color with a nice off white head. Aroma of juicy, fresh hops. Lots of tropical fruit, pineapple and citrus. Favor is mostly fruity, lots of mango and pineapple hoppiness, touches of clean pale malt. Medium bodied, lively carbonation. Finishes with mild bitterness. Quite nice.

12oz bottle. Filtered dulled orange-tan body. Thin, steady white head. Earthy aroma, sort of subdued. The hop flavor is quite strong in the flavor, with some resinous eathiness throughout. Clean and drinkable, but pronounced hop tones. Not really much bitterness or bite, but the trained tongue certainly picks up the Citra. A touch vegetal, but quite nice beer. Well done, enjoyable stuff.

Draft pour. Hazy copper with a white head. Aroma is big dank grass and with some citrus qualities coming through. Lighter on the palate. Easy going bitterness.

Pours a clear golden with an average white head. Aroma consists of pine, grapefruit, and caramel. None of these impressions really stand out, but the nose is rather strong and enticing. The taste is big in pine that is complemented well with caramel. Mild citrus as well, with floral hops underneath throughout. Powerful, yet rather short aftertaste of pine and those floral hops. Medium bodied, sticky in texture, with lots of carbonation. This one is tasty, and there is enough here to make you long for another.

UPDATED: OCT 20, 2013 Fruity sweet smell, flaovr is sweet and mellow, citra hops not really an optimal fresh hop.

Amber with a very large pillowy tan head. Aroma of noble hops, sulfur, toasted pale malt and burnt match. Taste is mild and noble with light skunk, mild citrus and light bitterness. Just not very good.

12 ounce bottle courtesy of queenholly. Thanks! Pours a clear amber color with fine floating particles. Large foamy white head. Good head retention. Aroma of citrus, herbal, pine hops, mild toasted malts. The taste is caramel malts, herbal, pine, citrus hops. Medium bodied. A touch bit on the sweet side, but a nice beer.
