2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Decent beer. The flavor and aroma are crisp, slightly hoppy and very clean. A bit metallic and a little bit of skunk present. A good amount of carbonation.

Draft pour at whole foods. Clear orange with no head. Fruity citrus and candy aroma. Apricot lemon and tropical tastes. A little flat but good flavor. Pretty tasty overall

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
12oz bottle. Pours a clear, lighter orange with a half finger, off white head that laces. Aroma is bright. A blend of new and old hops. Citrus, hop spice, grapefruit, and maybe a bit of pine. Taste is balanced. Mild citrus, resin and pine blended with more traditional, spicy and earthy hops. Short finish. Medium body and carbonation. Clean in the mouth with a semi dry finish. Overall a very refreshing brew. A bit more of a traditional taste. A good everyone beer.

Having at the Indiana Brewer’s Cup. This has me worried for my entry as it won beer of the show last year!? What.The.Fuck? Not Upland’s best beer.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Six-pack from Big Red Liquor. Pours a hazy orange body with an inch of fluffy white head that retains well. Very subtle aroma of citrus and pine. The flavor continues along a mild hop presence, spruce, lightly floral. Medium body and soft-medium carbonation. Just a tad flat, in my opinion. Not bad, but this is a fairly generic pale ale.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap. Reddish color with a white head. Hoppy, citrus smell. Taste is smooth, refreshing, pretty good.. Why is this rated so low? I can only imagine it does not translate to bottle well.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 12/20
Clear, bubbly amber-orange with a thick off-white head.
Scent is very light....orange, citrus...
Orange-peel, bitter-sweet flavor....orange malt.
Mild on all accounts..good, yet run-of-the-mill.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
This isn’t a bad pale. It pours orange into the glass and has a small ring of a fine-bubbled head. This is a bit on the sweet side but is nicely balanced with firm bitterness so it works pretty well. As it warms, a resinous piny quality emerges in the finish. This is a medium bodied brew with gentle carbonation. It isn’t the most fragrant and vibrant hoppy beer on the planet but its solid.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at Upland. Clear, golden amber. Light aroma--not strong enough to overcome the fragrance from my fish tacos. Light/medium carbonation. Not a bold flavor, and it is fairly tame as a pale ale, with a small bite at the end.

Bottle @ home, shared with LeninCat. Thanks to Adam for sending. Hazy dark orange appearance with a thin off white head. Smells a bit stale / dusty. Tangerine / citrus fruits in the nose. Some potpourri / flowers and cookie as well. Kind of doughy / chewy, lightly toasted malts in the flavor. Mild citrus. Moderate bitterness and sweetness. A bit too old but still nothing too special. LeninC@ ticks this 4/5 but I think he’s just especially thirsty for a boost.

Bottle - Aaaand this is what happens when you build a mix-six at the grocery store with two little kids hanging on you--you get a pale ale bottled in July 2013 (!) when it’s mid-March 2014. Ugh. Oh well--here goes. It pours nice, with a big foamy off-white head atop a hazy amber body. Nose is buttery and malty, with toffee, caramel, and sweet breadiness. Taste is the same--buttery toffee, light grassy, lemony hops, dry bread, a bit of mineral and metal, and a watery, lightly grassy finish. Slick and medium-bodied. Not good, but this one didn’t have a chance with the age.
