Snifter at Upland. Pours cloudy bright orange with tall foamy white head. Nose is citrus orange and Belgian yeast. Flavor is juicy citrus fruit, some spices like clove and nutmeg linger underneath and a crisp clean finish with slight alcohol presence. Pretty good offering.

Pours clear light amber. Fruity aroma plum, mild spice. Almost no head retention. Taste of a good Belgian clone. Refreshing palate, like it a lot.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
New 12 oz. bottle, listed 9% ABV. Pours a fairly clear golden with a decent off-white head that settles to a ring and leaves some soapy lace. Nose involves Belgian yeast spice, some stone fruit, maybe some honey, some floral notes. Pretty sweet, some bitter, a touch tart. Medium to full bodied, softer, some oiliness, bright with a spicy, fruity finish. Decent brew, easier drinking for the style. Perhaps begs for some more complexity.

3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
Clear, honey gold with a small white cap.
Aroma of soft yeast, lemon/citrus, green banana.
Taste is sweet fruit, lemon/orange malt...alcohol bitter...though not as boozy as expected.
Fairly good, though not overly memorable.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft from the Upland Tasting Room. Pours a clear gold with a small white head. Aroma of banana, bubblegum, citrus fruits, sugars, and sweet malts. The flavor is the same. Medium-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a malty, sweet mouthfeel. Hides the alcohol well. But not that interesting overall.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bomber bottle via trade. Poured a syrupy rusty copper body under a foamy white head. Aroma of dough, fruit esters, dates, sugar, alcohol. Fuller thick body with nlively carbonation and some noticable heat from the 9.6% ABV, lingering aftertaste. Flavor of yeast, sugar, banana peel, tropical fruit rind, dough, dates.Odd it’s listed as a Belgian Strong Ale since it’s a Tripel. Originally there were some odd flavors/aromas for a tripel but those all dissapeared over time so a tripel it is.

22oz bottle in a teku. Pours deep golden with a lacy, off-white head. Aroma of spicy yeast, caramel malts, light fruits, a little bit of dough, and hints of alcohol. Flavor the same with a nice blend of everything. Average texture. A pretty good beer but not the best of the style.
