Snifter at Upland. Pours cloudy bright orange with tall foamy white head. Nose is citrus orange and Belgian yeast. Flavor is juicy citrus fruit, some spices like clove and nutmeg linger underneath and a crisp clean finish with slight alcohol presence. Pretty good offering.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pour is a bright golden with a small white head. Aroma is a decent spice with some bubblegum and yeasty esters. Flavor is some pale malt, candi sugar and juniper berry. This is not very carbonated for a triple. Finish is kind of a dull sweet pale malt. Overall kinda just ok. Going in the right direction but this is almost flat even though it’s well within the best buy date.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Lightly hazed golden liquid. Moderate off-white head. Grain and bubblegum aromas dominate in my nose. Little bit of light fruit and alcohol detected when further inhaled. Sweet start that continues through the quaff. A bit grainy and fortified white wine fruity. A bit too thick and oily in feel for me. Honey and agave mingle in as it starts to warm. Not a light and graceful tripel in my book and at time bordering on a high grade malt liquor (perhaps a bit harsh, but the sweetness, grain and alcohol do give me that impression at times). Not enough finesse for me. 2/10

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Murky yellow color with almost no head. Aroma subdued lemon, some malt, some booze. Taste is lemon/orange, a little pineapple, some booze bite and a tiny bit of hops. A very mild tripel, kind of boring, I suppose. Easy drinking, "juicy" palate. Good, but doesn’t stand out.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
bottle @ Party Town / Florence KY --- Clear pale amber, bubbly white rim head, dots and strings of lace. Taste is malt and caramel that moves through the palate with vinous notes (Chardonnay anyone?) and then slips easily to a medium length finish. Interesting variation on a Belgian Ale.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Pours a just faintly hazy golden yellow with a big soapy off-white head. Aroma is faintly grassy with some mildly sweet banana bready notes. Full flavored, mildly warming with a spicy lightly bitter finish.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Some Belgian tripel aroma, pours clear with little foam. The taste is alittle too malty for my tripel taste acquired in Belgium. The palate is clean, overall a ok beer for me.

Pours clear light amber. Fruity aroma plum, mild spice. Almost no head retention. Taste of a good Belgian clone. Refreshing palate, like it a lot.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
New 12 oz. bottle, listed 9% ABV. Pours a fairly clear golden with a decent off-white head that settles to a ring and leaves some soapy lace. Nose involves Belgian yeast spice, some stone fruit, maybe some honey, some floral notes. Pretty sweet, some bitter, a touch tart. Medium to full bodied, softer, some oiliness, bright with a spicy, fruity finish. Decent brew, easier drinking for the style. Perhaps begs for some more complexity.

3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
Clear, honey gold with a small white cap.
Aroma of soft yeast, lemon/citrus, green banana.
Taste is sweet fruit, lemon/orange malt...alcohol bitter...though not as boozy as expected.
Fairly good, though not overly memorable.
