2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Acquired in a trade. This is a beer my GF has been wanting to try for a very long time so she was excited to see this brought out for her birthday. We split the bottle two ways.
A - Golden orange appearance. It has that fizzy, champagne like carbonation in the pour and mouthfeel that is nowhere close to a Lambic but is like every other Upland Iíve poured.
S - Nose is full of peaches, lemon juice and acidity. This is going to be very sour.
T - Very acidic, holy vinegar and I instantly get a bomb of heartburn in my chest. Lemon and lime juice, citrus undertones and a touch of vanilla. Easily the 2nd most sour beer Iíve ever tasted.
M - Difficult to truly asses as I canít take large gulps but itís not all that complex. I donít get any truly big explosion of CO2 on the swish and it leaves behind puckering sour for minutes after each sip.
O - This has neither Kiwi or Lambic properties. The mouthfeel, nose, taste are completely off. I hate to say it but after getting 3 Upland beers, Iím fine with never getting another. The raspberry, kiwi and persimmon have been let downs. I have a Blackberry on the way but expect it to be similar. This is a bottle that should be split 5 ways and not between two people. itís a shame that this is labeled ílambicí. This is the 2nd case of us not finishing an upland beer. Waste of $25.

It poured a cloudy yellow/orange color with a white head. The aroma was of tart lemons, funky lambic yeast and some fruitiness. The taste was tart, lactic and puckering with kiwi flavor coming through with lambic yeasts in the background. Different.

Taster from a bottle, thanks to b3shine for sharing. Hazy yellow color. Some pull like particles floating in the body. No head or lace. Awesome big tart sour aroma, oaky, lemony, citrusy. Smooth, crisp lighter carbonation, lightly sticky, medium body. Good, big biting sour taste. Love it, mouth watering. Donít get much kiwi specifically, but this is an awesome pale lightly tropical fruity sour. Some kiwi comes out in the aftertaste. Wonderful.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle at home with friends, courtesy of Dave. Thanks man!! Pour is hazy orange with a small white that quickly dissipated. Funky, slightly tangy, grapefruit, urine, lemon peel, lacto, and vanilla aroma. Taste is sour cherries, nutmeg, cinnamon, sweet tangerines, tangy, sour fruit peel, wheaty, lacto, and a touch salty with a big sour finish. Medium body with soft carbonation. Another tasty beer.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
A- pours a hazy golden orange with very little head that dissipates quickly. No lacing. S- strong sour, vinegar, lemon, tart green apples, simple sugar, pie crust, wood, cheese funk and salt. M- sticky and dry. Very acidic and tart light to medium palate, with a medium body and strong carbonation. T- strong lemon acidity, vinegar and pineapple in the front. Kiwi is present but well placed in the middle. A little buttery like a Chardonnay in the middle as well. Ending is dry and sour with more lemon and apple with some light straw notes and weak bleu cheese.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours golden with no head. Last half of bottle is hazy. Aroma is of sourness, fruits. Taste is sour, fruits (kiwi, why not), acid acetic. Palate: Low (almost none) carb. Medium body. Overall: Acid. Fruity (nice kiwis). Good, but a bit too much acid to be really outstanding.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pour is hazy golden with minimal hed and little to no lacing. Aroma is very fruity, acidity. A but of funk. Taste is fruity (pears, green apples) big acetic presence, a tad vinous. Low body and lively carbonation. Overall, too acetic for me, it could have been really good but a bit too much.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Hazy gold pour, no head. Lactic, almost gastric acid aroma, fruity aroma, canít identify kiwi per se. Taste is very sour, something more closely resembling kiwi is perceptible, but overall pretty sour; acetic and a tad lactic. Overall drinkability suffers from this excess sourness, but the beer in itself isnít bad.
