COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Upland lambics are fermented by wild yeast and aged in oak casks for over a year, which creates a tart, complex beer. We then add whole kiwis, giving the beer enticing aromas and flavors. The beer is bottle conditioned, which adds a zesty and refreshing carbonation. Kiwi Lambic is the perfect drink to share with friends over a plate of good cheese and fresh fruit.

750 ml bottle. The beer pours a hazy translucent golden yellow color with quickly fading head that leaves no lacing. The aroma is overpowering: bright lambic funkiness and fruit sweetness. Flavor is predominantly sour kiwi, as well as other tropical fruits. Carbonation is champagne like with small active bubbles on the palate. Delicious. From notes 11/17/2011.

Bottle. Light kiwi and lactic malt aroma. Golden yellow with moderate head. Sweet-tart kiwi/apple and malt flavor. Light white pepper finish. Nice - kiwi flavor subtle.

Hazy yellow pour, white head, floating seeds. Nose is huge sourness, some acetone. Taste is just mouth-puckering warhead sour, some kiwi but mostly just an overpowering sour punch. Very one-dimensional but still really enjoyable if you like something incredibly sour. Up there with some Hanssens stuff as the most enamel ripping sour bomb Iíve had.

At Stephenís place during GABF 2013. The dude smokes a lot of pot, why else would he live in CO. Aroma is big acidic sour, fruit juice, mild vinegar. Taste is huge kiwi, some orange, big citrus, acidic. Has an interesting funky finish.

2013 bottle. Tart lactic, oak, and vanilla aroma. Cloudy dark straw gold, no head, flocculation. Sour lactic and acetic balanced by a light sweetness, funky barnyard, oak, and salty flavor. Medium body, flat carbonation. No discernable kiwi flavor, just lots of sour.

2010 Vintage. Pours a slightly hazy yellow golden color with a finger of gaseous foam. On the nose it is inviting with bright kiwi, lemon, sweet tarts and basement musk. The palate starts out nice with some round juicy kiwi fruit, wet oak funk... but mid palate through the finish it just burns the throat with acetic vinegar. So much burn I could only finish a couple ounces.

Hazy orange of color with no head. An aroma of yoghurt, sour, dry, fruity, kiwi and melon. A flavor of yoghurt, sour, fruity, melon and kiwi.

Pours a lightly hazy, light orange color. Huge sourness in the aroma, thatís about it, some fruity esters but dominated by sour and tart character. Tons of sourness in the flavor as well, one of the most sour beers Iíve had in a long time, gets ya in the cheek bones. Tartness and barnyard character accompanies the sour nicely and tart all the way through the finish. Very tasty!

Bottle thanks to SavannahCat. Nose is hurting-my-face-sour. Taste hurts my jaw and gills. Hurt stays all in the jaw at first but slowly moves to the chest. I thought love hurt. But this is painful. Once sourness is acclimated I get more sourness. Some fruitiness. This hurts. So sour.

Bottle share thanks to DrewFace! Pours a light orange with no head. Aroma is super tart. Very sour aroma, kiwi might be there, but my nose tingles just from the smell. Taste is jaw clinching sour. I think my eyeballs might have twitched with this one. This is one if the sourest beers Iíve had. Not for the faint of heart.
