Upland lambics are fermented by wild yeast and aged in oak casks for over a year, which creates a tart, complex beer. We then add whole kiwis, giving the beer enticing aromas and flavors. The beer is bottle conditioned, which adds a zesty and refreshing carbonation. Kiwi Lambic is the perfect drink to share with friends over a plate of good cheese and fresh fruit.

Bottle shared @ tasting. Very hazy pale yellow color, small white head. Smells weird, very sour, like the seeds from a kiwi. Tastes like that as well. Incredible sourness, my god, very very acidic. Sour fruits are there but you need a strong stomach to drink more than a sip of this. Dear Lord this is sour. Too much for me.

Bottle shared. Pours cloudy pale dark yellow with a ring white head. Aroma of tart kiwi, cheesy funk, vinegar, pee. Flavour is heavy heavy acidic. Light medium bodied with light carbonation.

Sample at the 2014 Infected Chimipalooza on 11/01/2014. Slightly hazy golden color with a medium thin white head that evaporates quickly to an outer ring. Spotty lacing. Aroma of tropical fruit and funky yeast. Light-bodied with a moderately funky character and flavors of tart kiwi, apples, and herbal yeast. The finish is tart and fruity. Pretty good all around.

Side by side tasting of the Upland Sour Reserve, Raspberry, Strawberry, Blueberry and Kiwi Lambic. Sour Reserve Blend 5: soft sour body, buttery, a tad floral as well 4.1/5 Kiwi: no real kiwi characteristics, extremely sour and lactic 2.9/5 Raspberry: one of the freshest raspberry aromas around. Afterwards all is sour and lactic 3.4/5 Strawberry: aroma is q bit chemical strawberry, the body and taste makes one remind of the Hanssens Oudbeitje, let it be a lot more sour 3.2/5 Blueberry: the nicest and tartest of the "Lambic" series we sampled 3.5/5 These beers are not lambics and should not be called as such. It is obvious that the sour character in this beer comes from lactic fermentation rather than a complex process of different families of bacteria and yeast. The aftertaste of all of the sampled "lambic" serie have a repelling sour finish...

Bottle thnx to Geoffrey Pours unclear blonde . Head fades instantly , and completely . Smell is funky , herbal , sour . Taste is sour , very lemon-sour . SUPER intense in the sourness ( HOLY CRAP THIS IS SOUR ) , not so much kiwi comes out , sadly enough . very dry as well , and once again, SOUR ! one of the most sour beers I’ve had . Balance is far gone , yet I love extremes , so I enjoyed this . Nice , but very simple ( sour bacteria added rather than a complex mixture of different Brettanomyces - species ) .

Bottle during upland share. Yellow pour with no head. Atoms is lacking, just tart fruit. Huge Pickering tart fruit, kiwi sour tones.

750 ml bottle at Dutch’s. Pours a hazy light orange/golden color with a thin white film. The aroma and flavor have big tart/sour citrus, kiwi, wood, a sweet component that makes the sour kick in more at the finish, a hint of chemical character sneaks in mid palate, light resin, not much vinegar, though there is some acidity. I had the original batch and liked it a touch better.

750mL bottle, pours a hazy golden orange with a very small white head. Aroma is quite funky, with creamsicle, with moderate kiwi – interesting nose. Flavour is uber sour, with loads of creamsicle, and I barely get any kiwi. Quite highly acetic. Not a typical lambic by any means. Vinous, sour and acetic. Interesting stuff. Strips the enamel of my teeth – hard to drink after a while. Nice in small amounts, but difficult to drink due to the acidity.

750ml bottle of the 2013 vintage pours hazy pale yellow orange with tiny fizzy head that disappears fast. Nose is super sour acidic funk, little bits of kiwi and fruit, vinegar. Taste is over the top acidic sour burn, some decent fruity kiwi notes in the finish but they are buried under oppresive acidity. Just too much.

Bottle: Clear gold with a small white head. Light, delicate kiwi aroma. Flavour is tart, peppery kiwi.... Sweet and malty. Very nice.
