Upland’s Lil’ Sebastian ESB (Extra Special Bitter) is an example of a traditional English-style pub beer. With a solid malty backbone, this copper colored brew finishes every sip with East Kent Golding and Fuggle hop character. Just like the deceased miniature horse it is named for, the Upland ESB races through ones palate as swiftly as Lil’ Sebastian would gallop, if only there had been a unusually tiny jockey to drive him.

Draft sample at IBGWF 2013. Poured clear dark amber hue with an average frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate aroma of floral hops and malt. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Balanced flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. This is a soft brew.
