Aroma is moderately toasty with some nuts; the sweetness is light to moderate in character. Nice autumn orange/red pour with sticky bone head. Flavor is bread/nutty up front, with some growing sweetness that really starts to be pervasive into the finish; the finish lacks the characteristic dryness for the style. The palate is soft and bubbly. A few flaws here, but good overall.

Clear orange, nice off-white head. Grainy, caramelly aroma. Flavor is fairly sweet, with a decent woody hop bite in the finish. Pretty simple, but not bad. Thanks to queenholly for the trade!

Bottle. Light vegetal caramel malt aroma. Clear copper with a small off-white head. Sweet vegetal caramel and light hops flavor. Light body with a strange tannic mouth feel.

Clear amber with a short, off-white head. Scent is mild, faint...malt. Taste is slightly bitter, caramel malt with a little spice...dry... Far too light and thin...... This should have been better given the brewer.

I got a 16oz glass of this on-tap for $4.25 at Conway and O’Reilly’s in Janesville, WI in mid 2012. Pours slightly hazy in a light amber color with a classic foamy head. Mild scent of malts and spices. Taste is malty and toasty. Smooth taste that finishes slightly crisp. A little too watery though in my opinion.

Bottled Sept., 2011. Sparse white head, quickly and noisily fading to minimal. Clear orange color. Some bubbles on the glass. Lighter carbonation. Body is more on the dry side. Toasty caramel malt aroma. Not much taste, a little light bitter, some sweet. Not my favorite style, but this is a decent one.

A decent oktoberfest. Malty and sweet with just enough hops to balance. It’s a mediocre beer but can stand out because of the other very poor offerings readily available during this season.

Bottle - Clear light amber pour with a thin off-white head. Light grainy malt nose, with a light milkiness and just a touch of floral hops. Taste is smooth light nutty malt, fairly rich with a light snap on the end that’s half nutty and half hoppy. A bit of dark chocolate lingers on the long finish. Well-carbonated and fairly thin, though the carbonation fills the mouth and makes it feel heftier than it is. Not bad.

Bright orange pour with golden flashes. Aroma of graham crackers, apple juice, toffee malts, some crackers. Mild nuttiness. Flavor has a fruit juice and crackery malt thing going on. Mild sweetness, lots of toasty flavors, with a touch of bitterness in the finish. I’m impressed with the low alcohol. This is very flavorful for the low alcohol. Medium bodied, nice carbonation. Nice Oktoberfest.

Reviewed from notes. Pours a golden orange color with a bit of a white head and some mild lacing. Nose is a bit nutty and earthy with some bread and slight caramel in the background. The taste is slightly dry with some earth and a bit of light malt. Medium body with good carbonation. Nothing special, but a pretty decent brew. Serving type: on-tap Reviewed on: 10-24-2010
