tjthresh (1321), Greenfield, Indiana, USA Jul 17, 2008 12 ounce bottle. Pours on the light side of amber with a dirty white head. Balanced aroma with toasted malts and fruity hops. Decidedly hoppy flavor (Pine and grass), with just a little bit of toasted malts. Medium body with lots of carbonation. Kind of a tangy finish. Overall, it just an average pale ale.
Miver (435), WillowStreet, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 7, 2008 On draft at brewpub. Poured golden amber in color with a small white head that left little lacing on the glass. Aroma of piney and citrus hops. Tastes of citrus, light piney, american hop profile with a nice caramel malt backbone. I really enjoyed the hop character of this pale ale. Very drinkable. Not bad. StFun (339), Indiana, USA Oct 2, 2008 Not a shabby offering from Upland. Kind of a little brither to Alpha King. Same kind of basic profile, but toned down. Nice hop aroma and flavor, lots of malt swimming around. Some citrus fruits in the background. Everything holds together fairly well. Pretty solid. Aubrey (2614), Denver, Colorado, USA Sep 30, 2008 Golden-amber with a big rocky head. Crisp and quenchy with lively carbonation. Toasty, grainy malt flavors with a touch of honey-like sweetness. Caramel, too. Citrusy, perfumy, flowery hops. Balancing bitterness and a slight nip of sourness, which added depth. Dryish finish. Not a bad pale. johntreeter (115), Greenwood, Indiana, USA May 17, 2008 12oz. bottle. Big three finger slightly off white head. A little over cabonated, but good lacing to the bottom. Pours copper in color with aromas of grapefruit, toast, and a tiny bit of pine. Similar flavors with a touch of nuts and grass. A little bubbly at the begining then a good crisp sweet to bitter to sweet again feel with a medium light body, a good thirst quincher. A good beer
