COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The persimmons were provided by Aaron Persinger, a local singer/songwriter who is currently the drummer for Rev. Peytonís Big Damn Band. (The Rev himself is a certified Persimmon lover Iíve been told, canít wait to get him a bottle). Being a classic Indiana fruit, we couldnít resist, maybe one day weíll find enough local mulberries and bring another (as far as we know) first-ever fruit lambic-style to the lineup.

Bottle shared thanks to charule. What is up with these guys being so darn sour all the time. Aroma is like citric acid and persimmons. Super sour taste hides all flavors. Taste like a sour warhead. Too much, Upland, too much.

750ml bottle in a tulip. Pours hazy golden with a white head. Aroma of sourness / funkiness, pale malts, light persimmon (maybe? I donít know this fruit), light oak, and hints of spices. Flavor the same with a nice sourness and fruitiness. Average texture. A very good beer.

Bottle; Pour is murky light golden, like grapefruit juice, with a modest white head that quickly hazes this glass - Itís not the prettiest brew for sure. Full Disclosure : Iíve never had a persimmon - but thereís a dominant aroma note that must be persimmon : Iím a fan already. Light Candied sugar, citrus zest, persimmon flesh (presumably). This is a standout for me already for the series. The flavor profile is initial heavy sweettart, moving to persimmon sweetness, zesty lemon, with a lingering sour finish on the tongue. Bravo

Generously shared by one of the fine Portland RB folks at a tasting - Pours murky yellow / orange with a white head. The aroma has fleshy persimmons, tartness and a bit of richness. It has a medium / rich body with fairly soft and smooth carbonation. The flavor starts off with rich juiciness, fresh persimmons that are almost fleshy and nice (not overwhelming) sourness. The finish is tart and nice. Struck me more as a sour ale than a lambic, but it was very enjoyable.

Bottle - Big persimmon fruit and some funk. Pale hazy yellow with a frothy head. Juicy then watch out for the tartness. Great fruit, crazy tartness.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy yellow with small frothy white head that lasts. The aroma is strong citrus and flower. Thin mouthfeel with strong sour citrus very acidic, sour as hell but good.

Pours a murky off white with little flakes of fruit floating around. Has a nice aroma and a little less funky than some of Upland's other sours. Crisp and refreshing. A favorite! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: AUG 9, 2014 Bottle @ Avery Sour Fest 2014. Pour is murky yellow with a small white head and good lacing. Funky, lactic, guava, vanilla, stone fruit, and hibiscus aroma. Taste is salty, lemony, yogurt, lime, basil, super lactic and hugely sour. Light body with low carbonation. Way too acetic and kind-of a disappointment.
