4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 pineypower (2189) - Pine Barrens, New Jersey, USA - JUN 3, 2013
Bottle, shared huge thanks to Dave. Pours out a hazy reddish color with a small almost pink head. Aroma is fresh raspberries, nice balance of sweet and tart, light funk. Taste is complex, the raspberries are more subtle than on the aroma, but very well done, light sour/tart funk, raspberry, nice sour funky notes, tartness, tad more sweetness. Really complex and well balanced.
4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 dmac (3222) - Toms River, New Jersey, USA - MAY 24, 2013
750ml cork and caged bottle via trade. Poured the classic raspberry beer look, ugly muddy brownish purple body under a large light pink head. Aroma is great, lots of raspberry with loads and loads of sourness, grassy and some graham cracker. The body is medium with super strong carbonation and loads of acidity, bertter get some Tumms ready. Flavor is all sour, loads of acidity, band aid, very slight raspberry in the end. Good stuff but surprised how much the raspberry drops out of the flavor.

2011 bottling
A - blood red. Fizzy head that left pretty fast. Looks flat overall
S - Loads of ripe raspberries and a hint of sour cherries. A mild oak and a hint of vinegar
T - Holy sour! This is a huge tart acidic sour beer. Not as much vinegar as I was expecting. Raspberry purée for days and days.
M - Nice carbonation on the swish. Lingering tart acids and nice finish
O - This is a great beer but it’s intensely sour!
3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 brystmar (517) - Dallas, Texas, USA - MAY 3, 2013
3/7/2011 batch. Didn't gush! Billowing, pungent raspberry aroma is reminiscent of fresh, crushed berries. Deliciously crisp and tart, just the right amount of puckering sourness. True to the fruit. I love Upland!

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Hair6a11 (1163) - Illinois, USA - APR 15, 2013
Bottle; Pour is dark pink / ruby with a frothy yet modest off white / pink head in this glass. The nose is raspberry jam, heavy on the earth, must, seeds here. Excellent! (Yes, i’m raspberry biased) - The tongue is initial tart, acetic, raspberry juice, seed, mild souring, some earthen elements here, and light funkiness. The finish is long on this one - just a nice attempt, lacking perhaps some belgian depth
