COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A dark and robust beer brewed in the traditional stout method. Chocolate, pale, and roasted malts are used which create enticing coffee overtones. Organic dark chocolate is added in the conditioning phase which creates a complex finish.

Taster on tap at Ei8ht Ball. Dark brown color. Thin khaki head. Nice ropes of lace. Bigger body, kind of chewy texture. Lighter carbonation. Good vanilla, dark chocolate, coffee roast. Moderate to bigger bitter taste. Light alcohol warmth. Moderate sweet. Very tasty barrel aged imperial stout. Worth the $5 taster.

Draft. Poured a dark brown color with a minimal frothy brown head that diminished with little lacing. Moderate to heavy roasted chocolate malt and vanilla bourbon alcohol aroma. Medium to heavy sweet roasted chocolate malt and sweet bourbon flavor with a medium to heavy dark choclate sweet and small bourbon alcohol bite finish of moderate to long duration. Full body with a smooth dry texture and flat carbonation. This is a very good beer.

Draft at Ei8ht Ball. Pours a dark cola brown color with a thin beige film. The aroma and flavor have bourbon, dark chocolate, oak, roasted malt, the flavor is good but the body is a bit thin and the bourbon controls the beer. If this had more behind it, I would enjoy it much more. As it stands, still very good, but not great.

Draft to taster. Looks good; a fairly opaque dark cola with beige lacing. Smells and tastes of dark malt, chocolate, roast, oak, and bourbon. Decent on the palate. A little thin, especially for the abv, but its good beer.

Pailhead (4413) - Brownstown, Michigan, USA - NOV 16, 2013
On tap: The aroma consists of moderate dark chocolate, caramel, coconut, light bourbon, and roast. Its a dark brown with no transparency and a large light brown head that has excellent retention. Theres a lot of soapy rings left on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with moderate dark chocolate and light caramel. The finish has light-moderate oak, light roasted coffee, bourbon, and faint vanilla. Its medium-full bodied with mild carbonation and a somewhat creamy mouthfeel.

On tap during an AHA event. Black under a creamy brown head. Nose was loaded with vanilla and all sorts of hints of chocolate, wood, caramels and such. Taste was a nice balance of sweetness and roast. Smooth in the finish. No astringency. Very nice!

Tasted on draft at FoBAB 2010. Pours very dark amber with an average tan head that leaves solid lace. The nose is super milk with chocolate, oak, and hot bourbon. The flavor is very chcolatey with logt of oak and once again the malted milk. THe body is full with average carbonation and a long chocolate and bourbon finish.
