A dark and robust beer brewed in the traditional stout method. Teddy Bear Kisses features an abundance of dark malts and high alpha hops for a powerful impact of roast, chocolate, and sweet bitterness. The lucky few who cuddle up to a warming session with Teddy Bear Kisses sense the velvety malt character, balanced bitter intensity, and soothing chocolate notes created by long aging on fair trade cocoa nibs. Teddy Bear Kisses will make you feel warm and happy inside, but itís definitely not your childhood cuddle toy.

Opaque chocolate with a small tan head and threads of lace. Taste is sweet carbonated malt, turns slightly bitter in the palate, only to return to a fizzy caramel in the finish. Complex, interesting, good balance. Recommended.

Charred oak aroma, mild chocolate notes. Black, thick beige head. Medium body. An even mix of chocolate and coffee initially, but the chocolate fades, leaving only coffee, potting soil, and sourwood. Prunes underneath.

Bomber thanks to Beau. Interesting standard deviation on this beer I suspect. Pours a jet black color with a medium brown head, orange edges. The nose is cocoa and hops. The flavor is bitter dark chocolate, cocoa, vanilla, roast, milky, a great soft palate. Finishes fairly bitter. Good. I think this really improved as it warmed.

Dark brown/black into the glass with a small tan head. Aromas of coffee, cocoa, and roasted malts. Very robust and rich. The abv adds a nice warming character to it as well. Couldnít drink a whole lot of this though itís a bit heavy. Tasty and respectable.

Deep brown body. No head. Aroma is raw cocoa and grain. The flavor is raw cocoa nibs and grain. Not a big fan of this beer. Medium body. Unbalanced and sticky.

Dark bron to black pour w/ a thick well laced tan head. Aroma is oddly hoppy for an IS. Reminded me of a bigger version of black sun for a second. Dark roast malts hints of lightly bitter coffee a touch of cocoa powder and some warm alcohols. Something though in the aroma just isnít quite right, just a touch off. Full well coated rich palate. Flavor has a lot of bottom of the coffee pot bitterness over roasted malt, a tiny hint of bitter cocoa powder. Drain pour.. not good at all.

Dark chocolate, coffee, vanilla, roasted malts, brown sugar, maybe some caramel. Taste is sweet. Pretty damn good.

Pour from the bottle a dark brown/black color, very clean and containing a high amount of carbonation that produces a thin dense tan head. Aroma has a modest amount of chocolate, light roasted presence but pretty light and sweet overall. Flavor has pretty strong dark chocolate presence to start that is broken up by some light fruity plum and bitter coffee presence in the middle. Brew finishes up with a very nice sweet chocolate taste. Body is pretty heavy with a very smooth sugary texture with a slight dry finish from the roasted malts used. Overall a fantastic beer! Pretty heavy and sweet but not cloying. Flavor is very full. Funny, this isnít how I thought teddy bear kisses would taste.

Pour from tap - body appears black in dimly lit restaurant with robust, long lasting head. Leaves considerable lacing. Aroma is good - very malty, some chocolate, but not as much as I anticipated - some slightly burnt notes...roasty...some caramel. Flavor was quite bitter and breached a level where I thought it overpowered the taste - some cocoa, milk chocolate, more roasted/burnt malts. Palate was a bit hot, but not unexpected for a 10% ABV on tap. Overall I didnít leave particularly impressed by this beer, though I wouldnít go as far as to say Iíd turn it down in the future.
