(draft) Very fizzy but sweet. A mild banana aroma and flavor. Mouthfeel was fizzy wheat. There was a slight tartness to the finish. I liked this, but Iíve had better dunkels.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Let me start off by saying that I sampled several beers from this brewer over the past weekend... and all of them taste the same (in a way). Thereís an underlying burnt-rice flavor to all of their beers that I just canít get past. Bottle. Amber in color with a small head... flavor of burnt rice, slight clove, slight banana. Kinda plain and boring.

Sweet auroma, and a nice pour. Taste resembles the auroma. Interesting beer that taste dead.

2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
I had a hard time finding any aroma until I stuck my nose inside the bottle. A bit disappointing in this area. tart at first taste with less than expected head retention.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle - a dirty gold color. Very grainy aroma with some spice. As "wheaty" a wheat as Iíve tasted. Is that a word? Pretty fizzy despite limited head retention. Pretty good.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
cloudy, dark caramel color. darker than most hefes, head is mostly not lasting. clove and yeast immediately jump out in the aroma, lots of clove in the flavor, bubblegum and banana are minimal.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Dishwater cloudy out of the bottle with a white head. There was an odd sourness in here. Hints of spice and more traditional german wheat flavors, but still I canít get past the funky sourness. Not much going on. Iíll have to try another bottle.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Almost smoky lemon aroma with lactic qualities. A lot of wheat and light malt tanginess. Not especially perfumey or flowery.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Hazy amber colour with a dense, fast-dying tan head. Aroma almost purely of yeast. Some spice and coriander seed comes out, but a bit of sweetness is also noticed. In addition, I definately smell some hops in the nose of this one! Medium to Full-bodied; Spicey sweet initial flavour with some cloves and wheat popping through. Aftertaste actually very mild and subtle-only characterising a bit of the wheat and yeast characteristics. Overall, a very nice wheat, although the beer is a bit dark (just as the Commercial Description notes) compared to others in the style. Overall, definately worth trying and is a fairly good representation of the style from Americans! I was lucky enough to get this twelve ounce bottle in a recent trade with BigBadBear63 and sampled it on 18-December-2003. Thanks again Mike!
