Growler from the pub. Pours light hazy yellow with a small white head. Aroma is heavy on the wheat and coriander with some light citrus. Flavor much the same with lots of wheat and some citrus and spice from the coriander, finishing easy citric ad soft. Light medium to medium body and a sharp carnation .

Very hazy light yellow, some suspended particles within, head is off-white, anemic and mostly diminishing. Lemon peel aroma with light musty undertones of banana peels, cloves and a little white pepper. I picked up some metallics in the flavor underneath the plantain and vanilla wafer highlights. Finish has some interesting raisin/ripened fruit qualities not typically found in the style. Decent offering. Thanks again to Narnad for the bottle.

Tastes like orange juice with slightly diacetyl-ridden malt. A true summer brew albeit a crappier one. I had it in January....

I will come back to this next summer, because this was not a good mid-fall beer. Thin, watery, tart...not as tart as Bells Oarsman but I’m still comparing the two, so...yeah this could be ok on a hot and humid Indiana summer afternoon, but I think I’d find something else anyway. I held off rating it because I don’t like to give low ratings, especially to craft brews from nearby establishments, but I also wanted to remind myself at a later date that I didn’t care for it.

upland has such great beers and if you’re in bloomington you must go to the brewery (their food is amazing too)! upland wheat i feel is usually the first upland beer everyone gets. very good beer with a refreshing flavor, great on a hot day.

Bottle; Pour is light, clear golden with a fine bubbled white head that disappears in this glass; I was expecting an american wheat ale, and I got I suppose, a fusion of a belgian white and an american wheat ale - at least thats what I’m getting out of this one. The kiss of orange peel/spices on the nose and on the tongue were fairly nice, actually - but I feel like the base beer straddles the average side of both styles and gives you something drinkable, sure - but unremarkable as well. Not bad, though.

Bottle. Pours a clear, fizzy light golden yellow. Has an almost-cinnamony smell to it and a spicy, peppery taste. Very light on the tongue. Not too bad, easy to drink.

Draught at the brewpub. Pours very cloudy straw yellow with tight white head. The aroma is very wheaten, with a coriander note and a hint of sweet lemon candy. The flavor is lemony at first, but quickly gets a strong breadiness. There’s a little bit of a citric hop note. Not bad.
