Smell was abundant, the oranges and malt and hops. Taste wasn’t as heavy as the aroma, but it was still a drinkable, summer beer. I picked this up in a make your own 6 Pack and I wasn’t terribly disappointed, I’ll buy it again and see if it grows on me. smoosh (523), New Albany, Indiana, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 4, 2004 Draft: Nose is like the many classic German wheats, banana and clove - beautiful! Unfortunately the flavor didn’t quite live up to the aroma. It was a bit subdued, not as out front as I like. Not terrible, just not great. Terminus (1955), Las Cruces, New Mexico, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Jul 1, 2004 12 oz bottle-Thanks to Jsquire for send this as a bonus in our last beer trade. pours a pale yellow/straw hue with very nice cloudyness. Strong lemon and corriander in the aroma. zesty, lemony, corriander and citrus flavor. At first , i thought this was a german hefe, but later, i realized this was definately belgian. has a slight veg note in the finish as it warmed a little. YourDarkLord (1800), Urbana, Illinois, USA
| 1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 1/5 | 2/10 | 1/5 | 4/20 | Jun 27, 2004 Pale yellow with a foamy white head. Indistinct aroma. Mildly wheaty, I suppose. Weak and watery texture. Flat and dull. Flavor was of bad macro swill. 5000 (2900), Hardened Liver, Washington, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 26, 2004 Bottle pours extremely pale yellow, almost white, somewhat cloudy, quickly diminishing dishwater like head, very light carbonation, with spotty lacing. Lovely aroma of corriander, but a bit of perfumed soap as well. WTF Trebek? I get some fruity peach notes as well. Lots of corriander and lemon zest up front, but I detect quite a bit of that same soap in the flavor. Decent body and mouthfeel. Feels rather wheaty. Would be a great witbier had it not been for the weird soapy flavor. Thanks goes out to jsquire for the trade!

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Jun 12, 2004 Sweet, odd aroma, but pleasant I suppose. Has hints of the proverbial orange citrus and coriander, but seems sweeter. Pour is a very hazy pale straw with a small white head. Tons of malts in this guy in the start. Citrus tastes, but I also taste laundry detergent drier sheets as well. Weird. Dry finish. An interesting wheat to say the least. Thanks jsquire! Skip (206), Indiana, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Apr 15, 2004 Looks quite a bit like honey in the glass in terms of both color and cloudiness. Very faint but spiced aroma. Tart and clean tasting; no head. matta (1139), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 29, 2004 Thanks to my pal BBB63 for sending this brew down my way.
Pours the palest straw colored body, and a fat creamy snow caped head, this baby’s an albino ale! The aroma is light with wheat, lemons, and a dash of coriander and clove. The flavor is in total synchronicity with the aroma. Yeasty, doughy, lemony, tart finish. A respectable Witbere, light and oily on the palate.
