Light for barley wine. More of an old ale with malty, creamy taste. Some faint vanilla. Little bit of dark fruit. Very decent but no Avery Jubilation.

2012. Caramel color, off-white lace with medium retention. Smells like oxidized booze. Still a bit hot, simply doesn't click like the good barleywines do. Leaves much to be desired.
Not sure why Upland even bothers to bottle anything other than their Lambics. This pales in comparison.

Bottle from someone. Thanks, unknown bro! Pours a mahagoany color with about a billion suspended yeast particles floating about. Aromas of heavy malt, some dark fruit, some hop presence still left. This is a 2012 by the way. Pretty heavy on the palate, not a hop forward Barleywine (at this point anyway), but still damn good. I like this a lot. Finishes sweet with notes of tobacco and spice.

Pours creamy and smooth tan head with little lacing and a reddish brown color. Malty, caramel, and fruity aroma. Taste is sweet, lightly bitter, malty, caramel, citrusy. Tastes similar to Lagunitas Olde Gnarley Wine. Not as good, but close.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft to taster at Upland. Looks good; a transparent orangish-brown with foamy off-white head. Smells and tastes solid; sweet and malty with caramel, toffee, and a bit of hops. Nice and smooth on the palate. Solid beer.

Bottle shared at GTMW line, thanks rayl101 for sending! Pours a dark brown almost red with a really thin head, the aroma has a ton of booze on it with dark fruit and caramel, the flavor is really sweet as well with some dark fruit and plum in the finish, abv is tasted through out the beer, not terrible, just not something I’d really seek out again.
