Bottle courtesy of matt7215. Pours gold with a creamy white head. Smells of light citrus, straw, caramel, light spice. Tastes dry and grassy with some peppery hints and a semi sweet finish.

341 ml bottle from the beer store. pours golden with a mid sized rocky white head. aroma of toffee malt, some grain. the flavour is of a quality pale lager. no adjucts in this one. a lack of hopping holds it back but otherwise this is quite enjoyable. still doesnt beat muskoka lager though.

UPDATED: JUL 26, 2008 341mL bottle from a 12 pack. Pours a slightly deeper than usual gold with a decent white rocky cap. Aroma consists of some minor cereal grains, and decent grassy hops. Flavour is almost all malt, nice slight bread with sweet undertones, all leading into a semi long dry finish of earthy hops. Sweet, almost creamy feel to it, with minimal carbonation. Only the slightest hint of crappy macro spoiledness that I have come to expect from Sleeman’s. This is actually pretty good, serves its purpose, I was only looking for a refreshing lager. All other Sleeman products I’ve had have tasted alright at first and then start to taste worse and worse as I drink more, but this one stays consistent. Holy crap you guys actually got something right (albeit from another brewery you took over). I think this might ACTUALLY be a genuine Canadian all-malt lager, as it claims to have been made with only 4 ’all natural ingredients’, and there’s no off/adjunct flavours. Thank God. Sleeman you’re lucky the whole quasi-historic image of Canadian Pioneer’s on the bottle appears to the history geek in me.

Pretty good lager but nothing spectacular. Pours a golden color, some head but that fizzles away pretty quickly. Average aroma for a lager, there’s not much there. This is pretty smooth and flavorful (for a lager), a little sweet and malty and a semi sour finish. Aftertaste is pretty good.

...nah, no point in drinking this trash. Canada sux moose balls at brewing, at least it is better than bud or something like that. Has sort of an "ice" flavor, I guess it’s from the mounties or something. Drink when it is free only.

Bottle. 05 I believe I got it from a buddy a few years ago and gave most of it away. It’s a lager, little bready, grassy. Overall, barely okay, I chugged the rest next please.

Pale and light golden colour with a light white head. Typical lager aroma of some bread and corn - however, alcohol is most prominent. Slightly sweet flavour, with some trailing hop bitterness.
