UPDATED: OCT 20, 2006 Aroma is slightly stronger of sweet corn malt than a standard macro but almost nothing hop-wise. Flavor is the same- malt presence is a little more defined-doesnt hold carbonation well-almost becomes too sweet and stale by the end of the glass. Better than most macros but falling way short of ’premium’ in my opinion.

Bottle-A medium golden in color with a liitle ring of a head. Aroma of corn. Taste of corn and alcohol. Typical lager.

Bottle. Poured pale color with a minimal frothywhite head that mostly diminished with virtually no lacing. Light malt and hop aroma. Light to medium body with soft carbonation. Medium balanced flavor with a light sweet finish of short duration. Not a premium beer.

341 mL bottle. Yellow-gold with a tiny bit of rapidly-dissolving head. Weak odour of wine spritzer and grains. Flavour is pretty flat. A little bitterness in the finish. It’s funny - I’ve had a few cold bottles in the past, and I remember liking it a lot more.

twindadplus2 (504) - Wisconsin, USA - AUG 9, 2006
Pale yellow-gold with a slight haze and a small head that vanished quickly. Aroma is corn and alcohol. Flavor is sweet corn and malt with an astringent, alcohol bitterness. Light bodied with little carbonation. Not that good.

nick76 (3461) - Tampa, Florida, USA - JUL 30, 2006
The aroma is hard to detect. It has corn malt and skunk. The appearance is pale gold with a small head. The flavor is sweet corn with burn wood and astringent bitterness. The palate is thin but not watery. Pretty bad stuff.

Dickinsonbeer (5077) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - JUN 29, 2006
Pours a light gold with a fizzy head but fades to nothing and the carboantion is low. Aroma is dms, grainy, corn, metal and light hints of stale oxidized white wine. Flavor is pretty bland with more grain and crackery malts. Light metallic bitterness in the end. Lightly tart.

Not so good this one. You would think that with a name like Upper Canad Lager, it would be better. Maybe I am not a fan of lagers. But Lager is a nice word to say.
