If youíve never had a wheat beer in your life and are seriously craft skeptic then this is a good starter. If youíre a wheat beer vet then look away now.
Ignoring style for a minute this is golden and has a bit of sparkle and maybe a sligh slihgt slight taste of the sour but apart from that its in need of substance.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Originally rated December 2004. I had this brew for the first time a few years back on a very hot summer day after work. My friend and I tried this patio-bar in Ottawa and they had this wheat beer on promo. We decided to try it. Wow ! It was so refreshing, we asked for seconds within a few minutes. Now I am trying this one on a cold winter night, the day after our first snow storm. Poured a light golden colour with a shortlived white head and medium lacing. It is very clear and has hardly any scent, just slight malt. On the other hand, the taste is pretty good. It started crispy, went to a bitter middle and slowly kicked in a nutty / bread finish. Better in summer, very, very refreshing.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Golden colored, decent amount of head, not much aroma. Very light, not a ton of flavor, but enough to make it a refreshing beer. Slight malts with a little zing of lemon in there that certainly improves the taste. Itís not at all complex but I can see this being quite refreshing in the summer.

2.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Light yellow, small white head. Aroma is some wheat, & sweetness. Macro corn taste for some reason, with some hop hints. Light on the tongue, easily quaffable but then again so are alot of "beers".

itís not bad, but it certainly is not the best beer, wheat or otherwise. has more of a pale ale taste to it. i give it a 5 out of 10, w/ a possible low 6. having said that, i desperatley want to try it on tap. anyone know where i can get it on tap? iíll buy ya a beer! :-}

2.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
This is the beer I think of when I shy away from American Wheat style - clean nondescript character and light-lagerish smoothness. Certainly not bad but far behind superior trends. Iíd love to try Three Floyds or other more adventurous American products.<P>Not bad beer, miles beyond Bud yet just really uneventful, sorry UC!

2.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Very pale yellow, small white head. Aroma is very muted, vaguely grainy alcohol. Flavour is dominated by tart grainy wheat, with a dry alcoholic finish. Kind of watery. Light palate. I have had it in better shape than this but not much. Not offensive, just pretty boring.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
The first "wheat" beer I tried - many years ago. At the time, it was exciting to drink a beer that was served with a lemon wedge. It felt very Eurpoean.
How dissapointing then to revisit this brew and find it to be pretty poor. Bland and watery, it is to wheat beer what UB40 is to reggae.

341ml brown bottle. Poured a slightly hazy shade of lemon yellow. White head managed to stick around for a few minutes. Wheat and lager malt aroma. Wheat notes also detected in the mouth, light lemon notes, noticable hops especially in aftertaste. Pretty light overall.
