COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A new lager with a label inspired by the band Bad Brains. Made in a similar vein to 2010’s "Clash Beer", this nameless beer is essentially an imperial pilsener with some roasted malts added for color, yielding a dark brew with a nice balance. Not too far off from a traditional German-style schwarzbier, but leaning bitter and with more hop flavor.

Bottle from Healthy Spirits, San Francisco. Pours dark brown with a fluffy tan head and a treacle aroma. There is a fairly bitter toasty dark molasses flavor with a mild citrus finish. Not a bad tasting beer in spite of the relatively low ratings.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy very dark brown with a grayish brown head that lasts throughout the beer. Aroma has a great combination grassy hops, light roasted malts and dark grains. Flavor has a great grassy note with a touch of pine and a bit of roasted malts and dark grains.

750ml bottle into a Teku glass. Huge thanks to bstyle. A – Pours a dark, red hued brown body. Crazy amounts of dark grey foam. It was a real effort just to get a standard pour it would foam up so much. Crazy lacing and retention, this stuff just clumps onto the glass and stays forever. S – Some faint citrus and fruity esters, pilsner malt, grass and light charred malts. T – Faded piney hops, clean pilsner malt and Belgian yeast fruits followed by some lightly roasted malt and a lingering bitterness. Very drinkable yet very forgettable. Mouth feel is creamy and rich, very nice. O – A very average but drinkable beer. The fact that the label is unbelievably bad ass completely makes up for it though.

Most explosively carbonated lager I have seen. Smell is pils malt, bready, nice herbal hoppiness. Mouthfeel is extremely carbed. It has a nice mix of male malt and a hint of roased malt. Nice earthy and herbal hops, some lemon. This is a really great beer but has a pretty over-carbonated presence.

Bottle at James’ place. Pours brown with an off white head. Lightly roasted malts, light toasty notes, and lightly bitter floral hops. Not a bad beer in a style I tend to like.

Bottle at James’ place for a tasting. Pours a deep brown with a large beige head. Light smoke, a touch of paper. A bit sweet and papery again, more smoke. Lingering smoke. A bit off.
