I had Upright Bailey’s 7th Anniversary beer and to be honest I think this is the exact same beer. The description of Belgian dark aged in pinot barrel an 7% matches up. Reddish dark brown with a fruity, herbal, tart, with a splash of alcohol. Tart front, fruity, cherryish, slightly vinous. Top stuff.

Tap @ Bailey’s 5th Anniversary Barrel Aged Beer Fest... Poured deep ruby red with no head. This was awesome. Lots of pinot barrel character and you can really taste all of it. The rye spice, cherries, currants and the sweet vermouth provided a bitter-sweet spice, especially towards the finish. Quite nice, some acidity and tartness that meshed well with everything else going on. Easy drinking and hit the spot on hot, Portland summer day.
