On draught at Breakside’s 3rd Anniversary Party. Dark deep red. Aroma of pitted fruit and sourness. Lambic base flavor, with cherry and berry notes. Nice prickly finish.

Draft at 16 Tons, Eugene. Pours an opaque reddish brown. Minimal head. Raspberries are huge in aroma, a little bit of yeast in there as well. Very lively body, finish is the best part, really fantastic. Barrels, rye, surprisingly long lasting, especially for the style. Not overly tart, but enough there to keep things going. Well-balanced, a superb beer.

750mL bottle from the brewery A: Dark cider color without any lacing. Pours like lightly carbonated juice. Upright needs to work on presentation a bit, methinks. N: Nose is dominated by cherry and there are hints of raspberry. Grapefruit sourness. Grassiness and some oak. Candied ginger and clementine oranges. T: Light cherry, grapefruit, and hints of raspberry. There’s a balanced acidity and a good blend of sweetness. Vinegar and horse blanket. Vinous grape. M: Nicely carbonated. Medium light mouthfeel. Very easy to drink. O: This is one of the best sours to come out of Upright. Balanced with a nice touch of fruit. Drink fresh, I’m thinking.

Consumed at Triple Rock Sour Beer Sunday. Pours dark brown with a modest beige head and a sour fruit aroma. There is a very sour dark fruit and treacle flavor with a dry finish. A typical (good) Upright brew.

Tap @ Roscoes... Poured deep, cloudy reddish with a thin, gray head. Nose had some tartness with ripe fruits. Nice acidity with a good amount of fruit juice and oak for balancing. Not too sweet with some funk but mostly tartness in there. Cherries, raspberries, strawberries were the fruit that came through here. Nice yeast tones too.
