Draft at 16 Tons Cafe, bottle at 16 Tons Taphouse. Pours a very dark brown, with a slight tan head. Raspberry is strong in the nose, also slight intimations of yeast; the rye is barely there, not really wood at all. Body is lively as befits the style. Rye comes in at finish, lending a sharpness that borders on spicy. Finishes tart, but not overly so. Really effing lovely, rye and wood really make themselves known at the back end of the finish. Bottle is much more delicate than draft, but great either way.

Tap @ Saraveza... Poured dark, deep, murky, ruby/burgundy with a nicele formed beige head. Nose had a tone of raspberries and lactic characters. This was awesome. Tons of tartness and puckering notes that gave way to dark fruits, berries, and yeast with pronounce barrel notes. Rye added space and a full bodied mouthfeel.

Huge thanks to raveskdr for a bit of this one. Served in a mini snifter. Pours a purple-copper color with a short off-white head. The nose carries really nice notes of raspberry and blackberry along with a fairly-heavy lactic acidity. Slight bit of earth and funk. Flavor is similar with a fairly-strong acidity. Great berry presence. Touch of funk and rye. Medium body. Dry. Quite delicious.
