Slightly hazy yellow. Fruity sour aroma. Similar profile plus peppers and heat. Just the right amount. Interesting but not something to drink a lot of.

Bottle from Legacy. Cloudy tan, no head. This has the usual tart upright stuff, and a shot of heat from the chile. Fun base beer, tart and tasty. Not sure how the chile goes with it.

Bottle thanks to Daniel. Pours a cloudy orange with a small frothy off white head that lasts. The aroma is strong chili peppers, wheat, and funk. Medium mouth with light funk, citrus, wheat, with lingering heat, decent.

Cloudy blond color with creamy head. Strong sour aroma, fruity, some peach and vinegar. Smooth mouthfeel, dry; very sour flavor, a bit fruity; then the chili pepper kicks in, increasing the sour feeling.
The general impression is quite fresh, but the result is chaotic, and the chili is too much. And I’m not really convinced by the mix sour-hot.

Upper Deck Four Fingers Surprise!, shared by the jockey box, not in dining room, for make the taste!
Pours a hazy pale color with a good head and nice lacing on the glass.
The aroma is lemony and very funky it’s got some yogurt, some fruitiness (most particularly sour cherry) and a little mild malt character.
The flavor is tart and has a nice sour cherry character, some lemon rind, and a nice dosing of hot pepper that heats up pretty good in the finish.
Hot pepper sour beer, why the f not... sheesh.

quite the different beast than Four even before the peppers get involved. Nice dry barrel brett and funk character not present in the original beer. The heat takes a while but is there on the back end and grows a little as the beer opens up. This was good enough to make me wonder why we don’t see more peppered sours.

bottle sample, interesting beer, fruity funkiness, tart sourness with a blast of pepper heat. heat lingers on the palatefor awhile. not something iwould drink a lot of but it was pretty good

Bottle from Iowa’s best grocery store. Pour is cloudy, light orange with a small white head. Nose is a mix of citrus and barnyard. Taste is immediately sour then some heat from the peppers while my mouth is still puckered. Whoa, does this do a number on my throat. Between the heat and the acid, it is a touch much initially. Interesting for sure. Not a beer I would want that much more of.

Straw golden with a big fizzy white had, aromas of citrus, funk, no sense of chili. Taste is nicely tart lemon, citrus, and then a really slow burning chili heat. The heat is not overwhelming, is really nicely accenting the beer. One is the better chili beer no doubt

Bottle from CANBIF 2014. Somewhat clear mild amber with a nice white head film. Starts iff with brett, farm, high carbonation, mild body, chilli hits you more on the finish and coats the palate with a nice slow heat as things dry out and there is a bit of sugar to make it easier to bear, also some tartness, tasty.
