3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Aroma is sweet, fruity, melon, not very acidic nor musty. Very frothy white head a top a golden body. Opaque. Taste is initially honeyed melon, but the backend is piney bitter. A general yeasy mustiness occupies everything after the initial flavor. This is a great beer, but is as much pale ale as saison.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Gusher. Unclear orange with a medium sized creamy white head showing good retention and lace. Flowery hops, herbal, dusty, light esters, zest, light white bread. Light/medium body, medium carbonation, light sweet, medium bitter, thin on the palate. Long dry and bitter finish. Like Upright Four a great table beer, this one being more dry and bitter and with less acidity.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a light apricot with a central dome of fine off-white foam with a fine rim of the same. This doesn’t smell particularly hoppy, but grassy with some hints of metal and little bits of clay. Flavor is nice and sharp, a good balanced bitterness with some spicy character, nice catered yeast and a wee bit of tartness (faint lemon concentrate). Medium on full bodied with tight carb and a slick finish. Nice beer, but I feel like it could be better (fresher?).

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours cloudy orange with a huge beige head that’s got some staying power to it. The aroma has ripe peaches, pale malt, some minty hoppiness and a bit of pine. It has a medium body that starts smooth and then a lot of carbonation gives it a bit of a rougher feel. The taste has a juicy peach aspect to it, some light caramel malt, spiciness, funky/fruity Belgian yeast and has an overall dryness. The finish has piney, spicy and flowery hops added to the mix and they stay on the tongue for a while. Really nice saison.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
750 ml bottle. From bierkompass.de.
Hazy golden colour with an average sized foamy white head.
Fruity and yeasty aroma with mild maltiness. Good. The flavour is herbal hops, spices, bitterness and malt. The hoppiness is quite strong for a traditional Saison. Tasty this is but I’m missing the delicacy.

Sampled at the brewery. Cloudy yellow, nice white head. Smells kind of piney, kind of peppery. Taste is similar - some piney hops, some peppery flavors, with some tasty sweet and tart notes.
