COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Five is a farmhouse pale ale that was born after enjoying a few small production European brews that use a heavy hand of hops. Ours blends several Mt. Angel grown varieties to create a deep and complex flavor with an underlying earthiness. Pale fruit aromas created during the fermentation brighten the profile and bring the beer balance.
Malts: organic pale,organic caramel
Unmalted: rolled barley
Hops: willamette, liberty, perle
Also: xanthohumol (bottles only)

Bottle sampled at a tasting. From notes. Mostly floral notes with a good deal of citrus and bready yeast. Not too bad.

Pours a murky burnt orange with a big off white head. Very lemony nose, strawberries and peaches, citrusy hops, earthy funkiness, some spice, and a nice grainy smell. Really fruity and hoppy, mostly floral, there’s some strong peppery notes, a great saison funk, and wet grass. Delicious and refreshing.

Poured from 750 ml bottle. Hazy, amber with a 3-finger pale khaki head and very good lacing. Aroma of pungent herbs, spice, tangerines, lemon, apples, earthy hops and yeast. Taste of tangerine, pungent herbal hops, spice, light fruit and a bit of sweet maltiness at the finish. Medium/full body and medium carbonation with a delightfully smooth and solid mouthfeel that leaves you feeling like you just enjoyed a good beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

75cL bottle @ RBBSG II. Thanks for sharing, Rene! Pours a hazy deep orange with nice creamy tan head. Nice lacing. The smell is spice, caramel malt, citrus. The taste follows the nose ending with pepper and dryness. Medium body and nicely carbonated.

750 ml bottle to snifter (shared with the Mrs.). Looks good for the style; a hazy orange with ample off-white head and lively carbonation. Smells yeasty, spicy, hoppy, and earthy. Tastes like it smells with a nice, dry mouthfeel. A good example of the style.

50ml brown bottle. golden pour, bit of haze. Fat white head. Sticky creamy lacing. Nose is citrusy, orange lemon and lime notes, trace of sweetness. Taste has orange fruity notes with peels, light malts. Dryish base malts. Soft finish, bit of clean pale malts and some hop bitterness. Excellent hoppy saison.

Hell of a unique Saison. Pours a brigh6 sparkly orange and gold. Tons of majorly sticky foamy white head. The nose is heavily accented by a beauty hop blend with tons of citrus and musty dusty saison yeast. Great crisp and heavy wheat malt with the finish crisp and clean. A bit sweet, tons of heavy esters and mustiness. Glorious brew

Bottle from Whole Foods PM, and shared at Craft Ale House. Poured hazy coppery with good carbonation and am off-white head. Nose is dry pale malt, florals, hops. Like a drier Flower Power with less citrus and more yeast. The finish is dry and dusty hop esters.
