COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Five is a farmhouse pale ale that was born after enjoying a few small production European brews that use a heavy hand of hops. Ours blends several Mt. Angel grown varieties to create a deep and complex flavor with an underlying earthiness. Pale fruit aromas created during the fermentation brighten the profile and bring the beer balance.
Malts: organic pale,organic caramel
Unmalted: rolled barley
Hops: willamette, liberty, perle
Also: xanthohumol (bottles only)

Visual: Pours translucent dirty orange with a MASSIVE super-long-lasting ultra foamy head with sticky lacing, countless fine micro streams. Nose: white grape vinegar-pukey citrus but not offensive. (lvl-4)-pungency Attack: fruity full-bodied, alcoholic hit Mid-palate: tangy-acidity, (lvl-5)-sweetness, (MAIN) elderflower, peach, apricot, barley malts, bready sweet Finish: dry hoppy soft bitter, lingering malt finish. Summary: I have not seen such a beautiful head like this in a long time. I have not tasted such unique and agreeable flavours in a long time. All-around quality.

75cl bottle at home, poured an hazy orange colour with a huge white head. Nose of menthol, peaches, strong citrus, can’t get behind the weird arteficial menthol notice. Crisp malts, grapefruit, stone fruit and grass. Refreshing aftertaste. But Way to overpriced

Early summer gettogether in RB Odense. Hazy orange golden with a big white head. Malty and spicy aroma, with a citrus touch. Sweetish malty and grassy-herbal hoppy flavour. A little aged and oxidized, but that’s my fault :(

Bottle. Pours a cloudy orange with thick frothy white head that leaves spotty lacing. The aroma is floral, fruit, yeast, citrus. Thin mouth, sweet hop, belgian yeast, earthy malt, light dryness, good.

On tap at the brewery. A: Cloudy golden-brown, firm white head. N: Bread, orange peel, toast, pine, earth, husk, touch of lemon and grapefruit. T: Hearty mixture of sweet and bitter, leaning towards the latter. M: Medium-light body, biting carbonation, no alcohol presence. O: Toasty, hoppy saison. This has admittedly never been my favorite, and i haven’t changed my mind. Much prefer Logsdon Fresh Hop.

A very nice saison, quite different then the usual, sweeter and less dry. Pours a slightly cloudy orange with a white head. Smells of citrus, grapefruit and vanilla. Taste is creamy, with vanilla, strawberries, citrus, and a smooth finish. Paired with kale, beer and blue cheese salad, more citrus is brought out. Had in the bottle.
