COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Four is truly a light yet flavorful beer. The recipe uses a good portion of wheat and incorporates a sour mash into the process to make it slightly tart and extra refreshing. It has delicate aromas and flavors that span a range of floral, grassy and herbal notes. The finish is extra dry and makes the beer a great beverage to pair with food, especially various cheeses and shellfish.
Malts: organic pale, organic wheat, organic munich
Unmalted: rolled wheat
Hops: hallertauer mittelfrüh

RBAG 2012. Thanks Sid for the bottle. Hazy gold with a white head. The aroma is floral and a touch worty with some melon and citrus rind. I agree with others that smell was actually a bit dirty and funky - but in such a good way. The flavor is dry and lightly tart with light floral and spicy hops. There is also some toasty malt and tropical fruit. Light bodied and snappy, with ample carbonation.

RBAG - Bottle thanks to Sid? Cid? Syd? Cydd? I’m gonna go with Cydd. Seems the most likely spelling. Pours hazy greenish-orange. Thin white head, with ropey lacing. Nose is funky, sweaty, and has some light noble hop notes. Very bright and sprity on the nose. Flavours of soft acid, green apples, earthy tropical fruit. Tart and bright. We need more funky Saisons under 5%!

RBAG 2012.........Cloudy gold body with a tall white cap. Aroma is lemon, vannilla that started out agressive but slowly died down. Getting some banana notes in the nose and other thing i think. First sip the only thing I think of is sour lemon! Yeast , banana, more sour. Good amount of mild funk. Good beer nothing bad to say except i wish i had more but some jackass here poured him self a full pint instead of if meger diserved share.

First beer at RBAG. Beautiful hazy blonde brew with a big nice bright white cap. Smelly things: sharp and lemony, pepper, orange, wheat, sour. Tasty and awesome. great tart sourness that is no where near harsh - it’s just very refreshing. Lemon, touch of funk that fades.. in fact everything here fades and it fades in a curve and goes to a light soft, faint citrus - very cool. Light pepper and I could imagine pineapple for a second. This is a great great beer.

750ml capped bottle pours a golden yellowish color with 2 fingers of white head which left some really nice lacing. Aroma is lemons and grass with a hint of herbal hops. Taste is light citrus with some malty sweetness and a herbal hoppy bitterness in the finish. Also getting some hints of yeast. Light body and modest carbonation. This is a decent wheat ale.

Tap at Upright - turbid gold beer - nose is lemony and wheaty, with light phenolic notes, honey, pear - creamy mouthfeel - light phenols up front (banana, clove, peppery), followed by tangy wheat - some crisp, flinty, mineral character - lightly acidic finish - fruity hallertauer finish - like a cross between a saison and a hefe - tasty.

Bottle: The aroma consists of orange, lemon, light honey, and some spice. It pours a cloudy golden-orange with a large white head with excellent retention and spotty lacing. The flavor starts with a quick dose of orange and some faint yeast. The finish has light lemon, lemon peel, and a hint of spice. Light bodied with soft carbonation. Overall, incredibly refreshing and I could drink this all day if it was an "affordable" session beer.

UPDATED: DEC 18, 2011 Courtesy of Pailhead. Hazy golden, huge rocky white head, sticks around a while. Floral, dusty, cereal, light citrus, lemon, lacto. Flavor falls a little bit short of aroma, dusty malt up front, light lacto, floral, citrus, dries out nice through the finish. Billowy mouthfeel, silky. Great session brew.
