COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Four is truly a light yet flavorful beer. The recipe uses a good portion of wheat and incorporates a sour mash into the process to make it slightly tart and extra refreshing. It has delicate aromas and flavors that span a range of floral, grassy and herbal notes. The finish is extra dry and makes the beer a great beverage to pair with food, especially various cheeses and shellfish.
Malts: organic pale, organic wheat, organic munich
Unmalted: rolled wheat
Hops: hallertauer mittelfrüh

750mL Bottle. Thanks for sharing, Sean! This beer is for me. God’s water. Not my first Upright beer, but close, as it’s my first Upright bottle. Clean, mineral and light malt aroma. Tangy, fresh, and grassy upfront. The emergent quality of this reminds me of the best, freshest chevre, with delightful tingling clean herbal qualities. It feels like delicious, thirst slaking medicine. Very, very good table beer. Wish I could drink this every day.

750 from trade - split with Ryan over some BBQ. Poured a cloudy golden color with a bubbly white head. The nose is sweet, with dry grains and florals throughout. Taste is deliciously saison-like. An easy drinker with a crisp bite and lemon tartness. Offers up fruit esters and a zesty finish. Loved it. Could drink a case of this a week during the hot summer months.

Draft at brewery, Portland. Pours a cloudy medium golden straw. Aroma has a slight funky yeastiness, maybe some fruit as well. Lovely lightness to aroma. Body incredibly light on the tongue, sublime and direct, finish abrupt and crisp. Brilliant in any situation, but on tap at the brewery is the pinnacle of freshness.

Bottle: Soft yellow with plenty of haze. Obnoxiously large frothy head that takes what seems like forever to subside. Gentle nose is light and refreshing. Good amount of balance between the florals, earthy and herbal tones, as well as yeast. Soft mouthful for the style, with a lively finish. Elements of grain, florals, and yeast. Really enjoying the way the yeast comes in at the end with a zing. Refreshing.
