Four is truly a light yet flavorful beer. The recipe uses a good portion of wheat and incorporates a sour mash into the process to make it slightly tart and extra refreshing. It has delicate aromas and flavors that span a range of floral, grassy and herbal notes. The finish is extra dry and makes the beer a great beverage to pair with food, especially various cheeses and shellfish.
Malts: organic pale, organic wheat, organic munich
Unmalted: rolled wheat
Hops: hallertauer mittelfrüh

Draft. An unclear golden beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of hops, fruits, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, fruits, and hops, leading to a dry and bitter finish.

10-karat, dry-straw, hay-like pour with a massive ivory meringue that climbed defiantly out of the glass. Reminded me of Richard Dreyfuss’ mashed potato recreation of Devil’s Tower in Close Encounters! Loads of lemongrass, yeast, fresh dough, citrus, and a little funky tartness. Refreshing.

Bottle. Bit of a gushing huge white head, on a peachy very milky looking body. Some bretty notes, mango, hay, peaches and cream in the aroma. Flavor is lots of light fruits, passion fruit, spiked with a nice Brett quality, and a drier finish. Lighter body thats just too chalky for me, but with bright carbonation.

From the bottle, pale light hold, a little hazy and a fluffy white head. Aroma of lemon zest, peppery spice and yeast. Taste has the lemon and some bread. A nice light and tasty saison.

Poured from a big bottle with some pretty ugly dead yeast all around the cap and bottle neck. I’m not afraid. I continue on, Pour this bad boy. Light body, fairly acidic with a ton of young zesty tropical fruits. Super dry! A little put off by the dead yeast. Can’t continue on. But know this is way better than what I got in this bottle! Until the next time,,,,,,

750mL bottle to pils glass Aroma of lemon, wheat, yeast, and apple. Cloudy yellow with a large bubbly head which reduces quicky. Taste is slightly sour and bitter with reminiscence of grapes. A little creamy with little effervescence.
