3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: AUG 15, 2010 Light color, thick white head, not much aroma pretty clean wheat and slightly herbal nose, flavor is slightly more of the aroma good yeast fruitiness. Slightly tart and easy drinking, great on a hot day and a great deal in the tasting room but the bottle price is a little much.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
(26oz bottle) Purchased at Liquor Plus (Topaz) for $12. Pours an incredibly lively white head atop a fully-carbonated gold body. Nose is mildly wet wheat with some powerful lemon zest. Very plain. I find nothing notable about this beer. Saison and wheat sounds so appealing - but $12 and nothing distinguishable makes this somewhat of a dud.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: JUN 9, 2012 A: Pale, golden-straw colored body. Large, fluffy, creamy head. Good retention as the head slowly crept down the sides. Nice coating of lacing.
S: Wheat, hay, lemon zest, light pepper, and a touch of tart barnyard funk.
T: The presence of wheat is undeniable. Nice lemon blast. Less peppery than the nose. Good, manageable funk. Slightly tart in the finish.
M: Smooth, ideal weight in the body. Carbonation is spot on. The finish is nice and satisfying.
O: While there was nothing "stellar" about the aroma or the flavor profile, this was a very enjoyable brew. Upright describes it as their "table" saison... I think thats the perfect description. At 4.5% and pleasant from start to finish, this is the kind of saison you need a case of at all times so you can crack one every night with dinner.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20

Hazy tan body with an ok head. Pleasant herbed wheat body. Subdued hoppiness with a crisp refreshing aroma and body. Light lemon riffs with enough body to make this one sessionable. Pleasant.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Spicy, floral and grassy aroma features the hops with some underlying tropical fruits and a slightly tart edge. Lightly hazy golden body is topped by a fizzy white head that recedes fairly quickly to a thin but lasting cover with some sticky lace. Flavour is perhaps not as bright as the aroma suggests instead featuring fresh-mowed grass, wet hay and earthy notes to complement the tart fruitiness. Some cereal malt character in the aftertaste. Medium light body with pleasantly strong effervescence that prickles the front of the tongue. Eminently drinkable. Tulip glass. Cellar temperature. Bottle purchased at Brewery Creek in May 2010.

On tap at the brewery. Pours murky golden with a decent off-white head and a yeasty aroma. There is a strange, funky and delicious flavor featuring toffee, licorice and herbs.
