Four is truly a light yet flavorful beer. The recipe uses a good portion of wheat and incorporates a sour mash into the process to make it slightly tart and extra refreshing. It has delicate aromas and flavors that span a range of floral, grassy and herbal notes. The finish is extra dry and makes the beer a great beverage to pair with food, especially various cheeses and shellfish.
Malts: organic pale, organic wheat, organic munich
Unmalted: rolled wheat
Hops: hallertauer mittelfrüh

Bottle. Pale hazy gold pour, with dense white head. Rough biscuity malt, citrus, hay, slightly tart, lemon grass, and pepper. I really like this, complex, light, refreshing, and well made.

750 ml bottle at City Beer Store. Pours a light hazed blonde with a nice lasting bright white head- good lace. Aroma is toasty bread, with big tangerine french saison kick to it- also with a bit of grass that turns a hint lactic. Flavor shows the tart lactic acidity in the end but upfront is still light crackery malts, grassy hops, along with some citrusy yeasty notes. Very dry with a tart lactic kick- easy to drink - great table saison. Nice!

Banana, clove and esters emerge from the glass. Slightly hazy golden. A bit tart with a bubblegum character. Light body with low carbonation. An interesting approach to a wheat but taste is similar to a belgian pale.

Bottle from riversideAK. Brew poured a hazed yellow with a bubbly white head. Nose was very floral with hints of clove, lemon grass, bubble gum. Very light on the palate, I bet this is killer when paired with the right food.

Capped 750 from Malt & Vine. Pours lightly hazy gold with creamy white head. Aroma is mostly sour and citric. Second shot gets some funk as the head melts away. Med body at least. Flavor is a little tart, a little citrus, some gummy funk. Very dry. Not getting the nobility of the hop, but that’s ok. Tastes great.
